He seems to be a brilliant man. I think we all want him to live! I want to read more of his books. He seems to have a beautiful mind. All the best Hitch, please get well.
To all those who prey on this man's plight as a means to propogate an insane belief in a superstitious metaphysical dictator: you do not deserve life and you should be the ones dying of cancer. You are the exact type of person this man spent his entire life fightning against, and you will be the fall of mankind.. Christopher Hitchens doesn't need your pity either. He will be remembered as a great thinker for the rest of time.
I Wish he would live until his work is done. He should try Hemp Oil the US Government Patented it in the 1070s as a cure for Cancer. I have seen it works with no side effects. Some one get him that message Please.
If you know Quantum physics then you'll know what i'm talking about. When scientist tried to measure a electron they failed because its impossible to measure them. @1rendezvous cmon man tumeric is not the cure for cancer... Indians may have lower cancer rates for a plethora of other reasons, including the fact that so many of them die earlier from really high rates of heart disease and diabetes.
Are we supposed to believe high fat diets and smoking is great for stopping heart disease since the French engage in those things religiously and have lower than average rates of heard disease.

@xtrmsprts What kind of sick fuck are you ?. that man has probably done a lot more charitable actions that you ever had. And what sickens me more is that duchbags like you will end up making lies about how he started having faith again, or even likely to generate more lies about his religious views on his last moments.
@TheLogicStick to be fair, i didnt have a chance from the outset, fighting a superhero like thelogicstick :) btw how long is your logicstick? 3 inches?
As a Christian, I find the attitudes of many so-called 'christians' toward Hitchens to be despicable. Some are literally gleeful that he is dying; or praying that he goes to hell. Others pray that he converts- not out of concern for him, but as they view that as some sort of 'victory' for organized religion.
Personally, I pray what I would pray for anyone: that he be given Mercy. It is not for me to judge him. And I do not think him to be evil.
@nickthelight: Forgive me for saying so, but Tony Blair's an evil fuck. He smarmed his way into Labour, spun his way into power, wrecked the economy, committed both treason and war crimes, then swanned off leaving Brown to carry the can while he enjoys a health, wealth and celebrity. The man really does deserve to face a firing squad.
Plus he's publicly a Christian, advocating prayer to bring victory in war; I doubt Hitchins has much in common with him at all.
@JCLeSinge: That's quite alright; you're entitled to your opinion. I happen to disagree though, on a number of points. Blair isn't 'evil' that's just silly. I don't agree he's guilty of war crimes, in addition I agree with him on the war - a view I know Hitches also shares. True, he may have spun his way into power, but that's politics and love or loathe him he was/is a great politician.
On the economy he can't really be blamed. Could he/Gordon done more? - yes, but to blame him is unjust.
@nickthelight: Well, perhaps "evil" was a bit strong; he's certainly a nasty piece of work in my view, though.
Regarding spin... he's the man who brought that into politics. Blair and New Labour were the dawn of the spin-doctor as a political mainstay. He changed the face of politics in that regard, and not for the better.
There was apretty clear demarcation in New Labour - Brown was very much in charge of the treasury and economic policy. If any politician can be blamed for the mess of an economy we are landed with - it is Brown. Brown redeemed himself by showing the world how to respond to the crisis though.
@blackwolf1200 I actually think it is a romantic time to go. He just wrote his memoir, he probably will never write anything -- I won't say better, because I don't think it is his best -- more popular than "god is not Great."
@blackwolf1200 How smart is he anyway... all the books he has written, and all the other things he did and he couldnt even read the warning* labels that say, cigarettes may cause cancer and how liquor could lead to health problems. Doesnt seem so smart to me. And he calls religions foolish, he cant even understand a fucken warning label.
@salmagnum No, I'm saying stop fucking using Hitch's illness as a way to satisfy your lust for expanding your mental cancer. You know, the thing I just fucking said?
@PeterKuriakose Amen! Of course you do not read 1Samuel 15:2, that verse does not fit in well with your victim mentality and "God of injustice" concept.
The time is soon coming when the age of grace will be over and he will smite the Amalekites again. You would do well not to be among them. John 3:16-21 is what's up in the here and now. Get with it or reap the rewards of darkness.
@salmagnum LOL, so the asses reaped the punishment for what guilt? The children and infants were guilty too, eh? This is what religious nonsense reduces humans to - from thinking entities to mindless animals.
What did David and Bethsheeba's child die for? If you have no answers, it shows what a pack of lies your false faith is based on. Not much different from Islam, by the way, smiting and all.

@JCLeSinge

@blackwolf1200 God does too, for eternity! I pray Hitchens will find his Creator and Savior through this tragedy.

@salmagnum Ugh, just...fuck you. Using Hitch's cancer to try and propagate your mental cancer.
lordlacolith 11 months ago 13
@lordlacolith Are you saying you would rather he just die?
salmagnum 11 months ago
@salmagnum No, I'm saying stop fucking using Hitch's illness as a way to satisfy your lust for expanding your mental cancer. You know, the thing I just fucking said?

@lordlacolith I'm not sure you know what you are talking about. You do realize that it is Christopher Hitchens who has the cancer, right?

@salmagnum 1 Samuel 15:3
PeterKuriakose 10 months ago

Sally Quinn is just gorgeous, gracious, and classy as always.
I hope to god (haha) hitch gets to share many more years of his greatness with us.
