where is it good to earn cp early in the game because i had restarted and don't know where to get good cp besides in gran pulse and i just could barely beat anything in gran pulse so i knew i needed to be higher up in the cp points
This is literally where im at in the game right now, my characters are pretty powerful (all of them atleast one level 4 on their main paradigm and level 3 on the other two) but I decided to stop and grind it out here for awhile. Theres a machine if you take the first left and head down that hallway thats pretty hard to beat, doesnt give much cp, but if your looking to test yourself after grinding id recommend fighting it.
There is another place on pulse, where there are these bat things. If you run from a certain angle, you get preemptive strike 100% of the time. Takes about 50 seconds to kill on beginner stats, then about 15 seconds once youre crystairum has been maxed. They give you 3000 cp. I grinded for about 5 hours and maxed my crystarium.
I actually used this method the first play through to get quick cp and loot for upgrading :D After a while i could farm the pre emp just outside this cave. I never had any trouble after doing this but some people do.
i dont remember, but there is one spot in this place where you can fight with the huge machine, but that machine is strong, and once you enter the battle, choose retry, and immedietly turn back, where you can easily make pre-emptive battle with these crankshaft....5 of them if im not mistaken...and after that, you can try to fight with the giant machine again, and choose retry, the crankshaft will respawn again....hope it helps
Sadly you have to beat orphan to get the really easy grind. Beat mission 55 to get the growth egg. it doubles CP so that 6600 battle will be worth 13200 in just 15 sec. But again you have to beat orphan first then neochu for the egg....good luck.
If you continue into the tunnel thing and take the left path, you'll have more easy grind battles (: I think Fang/(Hope/Vanille)/Sazh works a lot better with COM/RAV/SYN, it makes grinding a lot faster.
Also, if you continue after the two guys, there's four more that you can ambush. Battle takes about 40 seconds if you pre-emptive them. An extra 3000 CP for you :)
Dude thank you. thank you thank you thank you a f'n MILLION times over i've been losing my MIND trying to find a plausible grinding method while only having 1200 hp. I keep watching these vids of people with 5,000-20,000 hp fighting the behemoth thinking "oooookay but wtf do i do when they kill me in one hit because i JUST got to pulse and havent beaten the game yet?" now i have a way to level until i can do that fight. THANK YOU!!!
@FergusAmongus Question did u try to juggle the behemoth to death once u get a premptive strike u immediately go on the offensive and takeout the rest of his health, then u go and deal with the mother wolf by buffing and debuffs seeing as how at the time u just arrived to grand pulse
There another spot futhr on with X3-4 bomb's, and X3 Bot's I was getting 7000 cp farming them plus the bombs rare drop the bomb core, you can easily pre-empt the Bots (bombs can be tough, so I used Sazh (Syn for Enwater(might be Enfrost), Enthunder ) Hope (Rav), and Light (Com).
@TrueRockNRolla Good point, it's a bit silly. Also I have only just got to Chapter 11 after taking years to beat Raines -.- So I don't have the proper level to do some missions.
I done this I was thinking omg I found a grind spot wat no one else knows about . damn u :) I done it till about 200k cp thn started doin the 2 behemoth things whenyr strong enough behemoth way is defo quicker
I did this without any research hahaha this place was a great help it helped me to lvl 4 the 3 major roles of every character now I don't have any problem taking any bosses around chapter 11
If you go just a little bit further in, there's a better place for even your "level". It contains 4 Cryohedron, 2 robots and a single robot. Where the single robot is, there are two doors, one has a chest in it. That's where you want to be. You get about 100k CP in about 20 mins at first. They can all be preemptive easily, making them faster. There is a save point as well for this. I use it even after beating the game. 200k CP in about >10 min now, with the Egg.
Just down the path there's a couple of robots with an enemy phalanx. The phalanx calls more robots to the battlefield.
So you kill the 4 robots and the phalanx calls another 3, then you kill them and he calls another 3, repeat until you feel like finishing the battle and collecting your CP
Johnaiton, the Phalanx that calls the other hoplites doesn't give you CP when you kill them. The amount of CP determined in a fight is how many are there BEFORE you engage them. Summons do not count for CP.
This was a big help mate for the Behemoth/Cerberus fight cheers. I found that a COM/SYN/COM setup works quite well here too. Have the SYN cast Enthunder on your COM's, and while they attack using blitz (if they are together) or attack they can do huge damage to make it a quick fight. Thanks to the elemental in their weapon, also not bad to farm solenoids & analog circuits here for weapon upgrades
I'd have to disagree with u bro grinding in early area would have to be for mission 4 where u go in yaschas massif-the deepgap and grind on munchkins they give 1200-2000cp each battle and for me its 20-30seconds a battle
well as you can see here it is 2310 every 20 seconds and after Hope gets Thundaga (that is not much of a grind to get) it is 2310 every 11 seconds, so...

Behemots are easy, but only after you have beaten the final boss. In my opinion ...

This is a good way to get CP. Especially since Vanilles eidolon (the hardest one) is round the corner. Thanks :)
