  • Now waiting for Roger Federer to play mind blowing guitar

  • damn right dudes he looks like rafael nadal ! But i bet he plays better guitar than nadal =)

  • He looks like Rafael Nadal hahaha

  • Good player, now he must go and find his own identity!

  • Japanese Richie Kotzen

  • @TheMetallo4ever you may say Japanese Greg Howe... not only because he sound more like GH, because GH influence Richie a lot...

Anyway I think this guy is also original and very good...

  • @TheMetallo4ever lol. The guy's a Filipino, bro. A friend of mine went to college with him before he went to Japan and studied at M.I. (not sure If It's M.I. , but he definitely enrolled into some serious ass burning music school).

  • @toppoxpocky hey mate,do you know his name? I'm from Philippines,

  • @shunyo The name listed above is his real name.

  • somebody knows where a can get that backing track?

  • Absolutely inspiring! Great job!

  • i've always wanted that Telecaster...but the neck looks fucking humongous from here...

    this guy is pretty good

  • the only part i can play is from 4:28 to 4:31

  • smooth..

  • I died 3 times inside because of the guitar playing awesomeness!

  • he´s Rafael Nadal in a Richie Kotzen´s mind :P :P

  • I doubt as many would say he is a Kotzen copy if he didn't have Richie's signature guitar.

I have a signature guitar and even if I could play like its name sake (Herman Li) I wouldn't do it all the time. It just has every feature I wanted in a guitar.

  • この動画見るたびに自分のセンスと技術の無さに発狂したくなるです。。。 awesome!!

  • Defiantly not my thing but it sounds really cool

  • In related videos: "Dog Rape Girl" wtf?

  • @deepislandboy

So epic, when someone was watching it, the dog overheard and expressed his feelings with the nearest object.

  • this guy is a mixture of richie kotzen and greg howe.. very cool. btw, he stayed in the philippines for a long time.. ^^

  • Yeas, i hear more Kiko Loureiro , Greg Howe than Richie

  • Excelente músico! Muito sentimento musical!

  • Whoa the lick at 0:25 is almost the same as Richie Kotzen's intro in 'Acid Lips'

  • all the fuzzy camera work and music in the beginning, swear this was gonna be a porno :P

  • @thePlunkett it is a porno, for jazz guitar fans XD

  • @thePlunkett Musical Orgasm !

  • The only thing this guy is missing is richies hands and hairy arms

  • Stop saying Haruhisa is a wanna be Richie.

This guys is like Howe Greg shred, Richie Kotzen Vibe.

  • yes he is inspired by kotzen i know cuz i know him.

  • true, first you could hear a big paul gilbert influence on him, that's when we both went to the same music college in the Philippines... We used to jam alot and he taught me a lot of Racer X stuff. When he visitedd the philippines in 2k6 you could hear a lot of fusion tone in his playing. Haru is an awesome guitarist!

  • its the backing track you were hearing

  • kotzen simply inspires this guy. who cares if he sounds like him. its like saying every metal player sounds like metal and every blues player sounds like blues...because everything just falls under a genre. if u really wanna sound different then go make up some weird alien sounding thing....

  • Como dijo maradona, que la chupen.XD

  • ok unless u know these guys personaly and have sat with both of them to judge shut the fuck up about who is better ur just ignorant pieces of shit they playin different styles of music so its impossable to tell from the two videos so shut up

  • Nunca falta el ignorante envidioso como DOGMANINO, que escribe comentarios solo para molestar, seguro que ni siquiera el timbre de la puerta toca jajajjaja, escucha buena musica chabon. XD

  • Extra clean- awesome.

  • I wanna see this guy play with John Mayer.

That's gotta be something to hear.

  • Richie Kotzen wannabe.

  • He's better than richie kotzen in my opinion and his style is also like Greg Howe. and I'm sure he was just doing this for fun or something.

  • lol how? cause the guitar looks the same? you seriously have no ear. apart from the "main" funky riff in this song there is no kotzen here

  • It is Richie's signature guitar. I don't of any other tele's that come with gold plated hardware, and if you look closely, there's the RK signature on the headstock. I own the same guitar.

And most of the riffs he's playing are identical to Richie. Same style, feel, everything. Hell, he's nearly got the same tone. Seriously, this is all Kotzen.

  • are you kidding, kotzen uses alot of funk in his playing nowdays. pretty much every lick has a kotzen/howe influence.

  • @apollominor i was juts annoyed that some think that he is nothing more than a kotzen copycat even though he has a good own flare in playing the guitar. and yes i also know that kotzen uses quite a bit of funk

  • just imagine this guy play like in GC king of the blues or guitar idol comp... just imagine how scary it will be.

  • in fact isnt tht a richie kotzen tele? he uses sum of richies licks 2

  • it is mate... judging from the specs and looks

  • kinda looks like Richie Kotzen with the hair and telecaster. Gr8 playin more feel and variety thn the other asian guys!! Luv it

  • basta alam ko ex nya si cucay yun lang alam ko ... tska ayaw nya mag major

  • amazing !!

  • Comment removed

  • Putang ina mo faggot

  • 0:49 - 0:52 = pure magic tone

  • Definite Howe influences. Awesome.

  • its more on kotzen than howe in my opinion.. and if i am not mistaken that guitar is kotzen itself

  • this guy was my classmate in the philippines 6 years ago..he was great back then and better now

  • yup, he is from the philippines you are right. because a friend of mine is a close friend of this guitarist...and i guess they have been playing for a while. anyways my friend plays thesame as this guy. you probably know who i am talking about if you are a classmate of this guy.

  • I didn't mean to offend this guy! Plus I enjoy so much his playing. ( I have to say Im a little jelous:))

But that's a fact he is a great Kotzen fan, and he copies his style, sound, and image. Of course later he will find his own style! And I have to say again: HE'S AN AMAIZING GUITAR PLAYER!!!

  • Picasso said good artists borrow great artists steal.

  • i heard about that too

  • this song reminds me of jump start by greg howe

  • to all the guys who say he's Richie Kotzen coppy, I'd like to remind you that when Richie Kotzen first came out, he sounded just like Steve Vai, so the bottom line is we all have are influences or better said, those players who inspire us to play in the first place, food for licks ;-)

  • @zefurioustube most people will only look at the guitar and judge by that. if he was using a white stratocaster people would probably call him and yngwie copy.

  • secondo me gli piace un pò richie kotzen/I think he likes a little richie Kotzen

  • japanese richie.....can't deny it.....even his tele and rings look alike......but still he is probably the best japanese guitarist i've seen. IMHO.

  • Holy shit, he played basically every lick Kotzen has taught down to the exact note. People are saying he played it differently but I have a lot of Kotzen licks from Guitar World, and learned them thorougly, they are exactly the same. This guy seems pretty talented, but honestly I prefer Kotzen's soloing style.

  • I see that he is also influenced by Greg Howe.

  • can someone be influenced by someone and add a lil of their style into their own shit without being a wannabe? for real No one can be a guitarist now cause in one way or anothe rthey'll be a wannabe of Dime, kotzen, yngwie, Vai, satch, gilbert, eddie, vaughn, johnson, buckethead, etc, anywho he apparently won the GIT Grand Prix pretty good for a wanna be. and how much can honestly be done now that hasn't been done by someone at some point when there are all the people I'vejustlisted + mike patton

  • so much like richie kotzen..

  • Lovin' the tie.

  • Chuck norris of guitar ? i tihnk thats a good example

  • this guy is like a mix of Jimi Hendrix and Eric Johnson except none of that irish stuff and a bit heavier

someone give me a better example if this guy

  • FUCK YEA! thats what I call play it from ye soul

  • i think he has a woderful tune, badass guitar and the whole song was tight

  • true that mate

  • what style is this?

  • I would say it's mostly funk and jazz fusion. For the sake of avoiding a shitstorm, we'll keep it at that :)

  • shit storm!!!XD like that mate ahahaha agreed

  • anyone know tuning he's playing in?

  • i think D

  • That's what i thought as well

  • i heard alot of eric johnson in that

  • Could someone please find/post a guitar tab of this amazing song??? That would be awesome thx

  • Love it.

  • There is this guy who went to the same high school as this guy

  • the last minute is probably the best

  • I think the entire6:40 was the best

  • damn, i heard some guthrie, steve vai, and holdsworth like licks in here just to name a few. This guy is a monster musician. I LOVE IT!

  • i didn't hear a single vai or holdsworth, pretty much all of holdsworth licks are four notes per string which this guys little asian hands couldn't handle, but yes you are very knowledgeable mr mulderxyz, thank you for sharing

  • woahhh this is nice. very Guthrie like.

  • I think he plays Dunlop Delrin 1.5mm picks (same as Malmsteen) just btw.....

  • I'd rather listen to this over anything Ritchie Kotzen has done, save for the Greg Howe duos.

  • his tone and licks and style are so spookily similar to richie kotzen's. uncanny...

  • hey now broha, don't go making any faulty assumptions here

  • they're not faulty... he's a great player no doubt, but his style owes a lot to richie from the tone and note choice right down to the tele.

  • Why you gotta hate, man?

Whatever happened to "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery" stuff anyways?

  • i don't "hate", i'm pointing out what's obvious. i neither complimented him or disrespected him - would you feel disrespected if i said you had a hendrix or beck influence in your playing? didn't think so.

  • Hendrix, yes

  • Haha, I saw some of Hendrix's other stuff at Woodstock besides purple haze, and it was god awful, terrible sound, and playing, no offense jimi you dead bastard

  • tahts funny because with out jimi we'd have no malmsteen and you may not like malmsteen(i dont too much) but he did open doors for shred. And every guitarist has been influenced by malmsteen at some point so thank jimi hendrix for influencing malmsteen, who inturn influenced everyone into shred a little bit.

  • not even just a tele its kotzens tele

  • i couldn´t decied between a marshall or hughes&kettner triamp mk2....i choosed the triamp mk 2...and what do i see now....somebody is playing over both at the same time

    very awsome playing and sound^^

  • his tone color is really good and varies alot

    impressive stuff

  • guthrie govan has a challenger

  • Agreed

  • Next Japan Guitar Idol much? If he keeps at it he might give Ohmura a run for his money. x]

    Naw. xD

But god damn. This is a true work of art. Hard to find stuff this good now'a'day's.

  • Umm he is better than Ohmura. XD

  • They are completely different players. Haruhisa has a much better legato technique I'd say. Ohmura has a better alternate pick and a better feel for rock. Haruhisa is good at Jazz/blues fusion. Can't really say one is better than the other. They are too different.

  • can someone tab this???lol!if yes say something

  • flarghinafasafadingyuterkydurkehgurheynubabsuba

  • there is a limit in being a helpless amoeba. congratulations you broke the limit and are now utterly helpless

  • ...Simply Stunning

  • good...

but very kotzen enough...speaking style and sound....

don't u have your own style dude?

    don't be a copycat....

  • did kotzen invent the style he's playing today?

if not then he's a copycat too...

  • Yea you're right... This is just a guy playing some funk guitar.. He's not copying kotzen at all..He's just doing the thing he does best; and that's playing the guitar (:

  • not necessarily but alot of his licks sound very close to kotzens. his use of tone, legato, sweeping and hybrid picking even bears alot of resemblence. copycat may not be the word but he was definitely heavily influenced by kotzen.

  • perfect :D damn

  • lol ive been listening to this video everyday for like almost a week now

  • Oh my god that was so sick... ^_^ i am so happy now!!!! five out of five i love the blues and jazzy kind of feel that was added with the guitar.... i love the fact you downloaded this masterpeice.

  • sounds great

  • is he pluged on the Marshall or the H&K??

  • probably both. a/b

  • q buena cancion csm! muy buena creacion y q tal fusion!

  • 3:48 - 4:21

  • It's probaly Jazz Fusion.

  • unfortunately i didnt like that :\

  • Definitly a lot of Greg Howe influence going on here. Some Eric Johnson-esque passages too. Great stuff.

  • ako din, nakajamin ko din cla with perf decastro

  • proud ako naka jamming ko sya as in magaling talaga sya..hope to jam with you and learn something from you again!

  • omg, i remember Haru. He used to be just a student from UST hanging out at perfect pitch. I had the privilege of watching him jam with some pinoy metal heads here in Manila. He's good indeed!

  • I'm always a double humbucking guy but since I heard this and saw all the comments about Tele's I went and tried one. It's an awesome guitar that's why I bought it and now im broke :) You guys are bad and good influences...hehehehehehe

  • It is prog rock/jazz.

  • I can hear the Greg Howe and Richie Kotzen influence here.

  • "is this part jazz or blues... i really dont know what jazz is..."

    I think I would call it progressive/shred/funk

Eric Johnson is the only other person I've heard that can make a telecaster sounds so hot!

  • disagree....how about R.Kotzen? that`s hot too...)

  • nice..

  • Kotzen fan? Great stuff, man!!

  • 00:44 is this part jazz or blues... i really dont know what jazz is...

  • nice groove!ü

  • motherfucka'!! :D (in good means this word) :)

  • this man is real good

  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm kinda sensing some Kotzen in his style.

  • legato wise yeah

  • beast, love these kotzen tele, their like a fender version of the les paul but yo still have all the telegoodness

  • Fender version of a Les Paul?

you must go back to school!

  • well consider the dimarzio twing king pickup in bridge has the output of a humbucker and the binding with maple top thn yes, it's like a fender version of les paul, btw i'm in school :D

  • ow shit! this man is insane!

  • TABS!!!!!!!!!!

  • sadsly no... :(

  • I would say a lot of Greg Howe in this guy especially off the Introspection album.
