If you've never experienced a Ferrari in person it's quite difficult to make a observation on the exhaust note. It's actually very impressive. As for this video, he's probably using the microphone from the camera (which is more than likely not a hi-fidelity one) and would therefore cut out part of the audible frequency range. By the way, I think the Skyline (G35) is an excellent car. The VQ35 is probably my favorite V6 power plant.
