hey man ur missing the double kick parts completely and ur keeping a straight beat on the hat, where the right hand is accenting the kick. i recomend learn how to the the concatenation(remix) version first. its basically the same song but like half the speed.
@AlienTechAudio haha no no no that is totally something else... the main pattern is just triplets and count 1 2 3 1 2 3 and then just put an extra note every 5th time, and thats the sorta pattern they use through the entire record, like themself recall as cheap and crappy, they hated to stress together this record....
@ollecarlsson ummm nnoo.. you are actually completely wrong, they are playing a multimeter the left hand is keeping 4/4 on the snare while the kick drum is playing a 5/4 pattern that repeates 6 times then adds an extra 2 beats while the right hand accents, and teh kick patteren goes LRLR R R.

no worries, cheers. thought it would help people figuring out the vocal sections etc. Don't think i'm too far off between this clip and the other one both together. I'll upload one with song in full one day
The playing seems good, but just a hair out of synch with the music, like its a little behind with the audio synch, but still good. I dont agree with you though when you say that the drums in this song will help to figure out the vocals in this song. The vocals go all over the rhythms. They are pretty independent of all the instruments.
Nah, my fault for not spelling it out. I meant figuring out the drumming/changes DURING the vocal sections. Not for a minute would i think that this clip would help people figuring out the vocals at all.
Pretty cool. At 2:16 the bass drum beat has a lazy kick hit. 1/8 or 1/16th later (whatever it is). Listen closely to that beat. You are hitting the kick one note to soon.
Simple mistake but it completely changes the feel of that beat. watch?v=PHZ6PmOShJ8 (better audio quality). Go to 2:22. The 3rd, 5th, 7th, ect.. kick hit is one note later (lazy sounding). The way your playing it makes the beat feel way to simple. Hard to explain, but I hope you can figure it out.
ah..., i think, if anything it's the hi-hats starting on an off beat instead of an on beat. the kicks fall in time with the section before (or at least same pulse) which they do, and do on the orig. I think it's a lousy initial hi hat hit to be honest..and my poor audio quality. (then again i would say that)...
yeah, listen again to the orig, totally ignore the hi hat. if you tap your hand on the kick then yer other hand on the snare, you'll do an evenly spaced kick snare kick snare etc, the guirar is doubled and very occasionally there are two kicks, but def not spaced later on 3rd 5th and 7th. Hi hat then does 'three over two' polyrhythm. Might upload another version one day playing it how you say to see the difference etc. Interesting.

Not too bad, props for the just the attempt! You just need to nail the beat pattern down, then you'll stay on it!

not too sure why but #when I upload it seems to knock the video out of synch with the audio a little..? :o/
Ah well. Not bang on anyway I know but it might help others trying to figure it all out (it took me ages).
