This economic mess was almost ENTIRELY the fault of Democrats. In 2006 McCain and 18 other Republican Senators published an open letter, warning that we were in great danger from the FannieMae-FreddieMac disaster, pushed by Clinton and the Democrats, and if we didn't do something fast, the whole mess could collapse.
