it works with the triads so stick to them. I think the original riff goes from Amaj to Emaj constantly, should hopefully be able to hear the changes!!!

Hey thanks! As for the chords i'm not really sure as we were just making it up! Haven't got a piano with me at the moment but think that it all revolves around Emaj and Amaj constantly switching; with Dmaj and Gmaj in the 'mary stays at home alone' bit ? Hope that's alright?! Songs like that are best not over rehearsed otherwise they can become boring, but keep at it and see what happens!! Could be promising stuff!
