This ZR-1 on this vid has 900rwhp which I have it here on paper lol and its best run is an 8.5 1/4 time which is great because its all motor. The car's owner is a retired Chevy engineer. I got the magazine that talks about him and the car. He did a great job on that car.

You need to recheck your history abot GM 32 valve V-8 s dominating Indy in the late 80s and early 90s which is where the LT5 techology which lotus was envolved in also they also played a part in the magnetic ride control which debut was in a Lotus Espirit.
But it doesn't have a ZR1 engine it is just a ZR1 body You can put a ZR1 body on a funny car and run 300 but it is still not a ZR1 the ZR1 has an LT5 motor with 4 cams 32 valves
Oh, I see. What type of reciprocating assembly do you have? I know an LT5 will twist 8 grand stock, but I know you've done some serious bottem-end mods to support that kind of power. What do you shift and go through the traps at?
runs 5.14 rear gear It left at over 8000rpm when the tire hooked it brought it down to about 5400rpm the bottom of its power band. A pound more of air in the tires would have been better.

LT5 was designed and engineered by Lotus which was owned by GM at the time and built by Mercury marine. No connection to GM indy
