Sorry to bother, I have a question mate. My DR 202 when I turn it on says "SYSTEM ERROR / PRESS ENTER KEY " after I do nothing happens. Has this happened to you before?
@SuperSonicoTV. Hello, I also have DR202 with exactly same problem. "SYSTEM ERROR", I also tried the factory reset. But it doesnt fix the problem. The DR202 is reset to factory condition, but the power fails after a few seconds. Did you fix your DR202?? I noticed that the memory is still intact but my DR202 will shut down after a few seconds. But in those first few seconds it works fine. I think this is a power regulation problem?
TB303 blah blah. People are only paying the ridiculous prices for that piece of plastic because that was one of the original boxes used. Now you have copycat people disregarding newer & better equipment because they claim it's "the sound".Even though most of these people have never seen let alone used the real thing to even be able to make that judgement. The people who started it all were using 303's 909's because that was what was available cheap & used. At $1500?! You're a real sucker.
@937emotion Innovative is more important than nastalgic. Unless you really enjoy collecting old relics more than actually utilizing the abundance of newer more capable equipment to make original music....not copy & compare yourself to another artist, & worse...think the instrument you own is what creates great music.
Sounds cool but the snare and ride are crap. That Bassline box is pretty sweet. I've never seen that before. Obviously, it's some sort of TB-303 replica.. but sounds ok. The filters are probably ass though. That's what really made the 303 the beast that it was - the filters. They were so extreme. And if you got the devil Fish mod, even more so.
@h4x0riz3d You do realize that the TB-303 was meant to replicate an actual bass and that it wasn't meant to be used in the manner that it was, right? That was my point about the filters - they were so extreme when you consider what the machine was originally intended to do.
@StudioGuyMN actually, the resonance on the 303 is not that much, if the resistors are in the normal ranges - you won't have that typical acid resonance at all
not to mention the JoshWink style sound, which is a resonance boost MOD
but, you can tell it's a 303 even if the resonance is OFF, just play a typical pattern with slides and the square.. no other synth can make that sound (unless it's a 303 clone of course)
well, it's different than x0x style machines, but once you know basics it is very easy. Did You think about Korg ER1?? I've got one and sounds massive(and it has similar sequencer like x0x family).

@SuperSonicoTV
You can try restoring to factory settings:
1.power on while holding "mute" and "roll"
2.use value dial to select "all"
3.press"tap/enter" twice
otherwise it's hard to say, I never had this problem.

@StudioGuyMN wrong, the filter in the 303 is not THAT special
it's more like:
50% sequencer
5% slide
5% "square" wave
5% the "Accent"
5% filter
30% knob tweakin'
