Awesome tool! One minor note to the video makers. I have seen this in a couple of vids of UA. The voiceover keeps talking when doing adjusting. If you say listen to this adjustment. Please DO NOT speak over it when doing so! :)
phase button on your daw...or on a console is NOT the same as the IBP. I have used the original IBPS's for years...they can do amazing things with multi-mic'd sources. trust me....the IBP does alot more than just flip the phase.
I get mixes to work on for people where things could use this sort of processing, boy sometimes it's so true when they say "ignorance is bliss" because if a simply flip of the phase would fix some of the issues I sometimes come across, wow, what a world it would be!
Redsecta72: Calling names is half of your talent I guess! You are pre judging without knowing.. You don't know me! you work for UA that you are butt kissing? you are a moderator here deleting posts??
I use UA and I'm not doing what you just did..LAME
AudioGeekzine: Nice try!! But like I said in the last post to you (which was deleted) hmmm! I know my gear and do this for a living.. I don't need this plug in! I'm also a fan of UAD cards....
Too true if only a flip of the switch would fix all. Unfortunately it can take time adjusting mic position. Especially if you are by yourself. This plugin just saves a lot of time. And hey, it's way cheaper than the hardware. $630 for the box. Plugin is only $99? Dirt cheap!
Fantastic! However, I think these kinda of tools (non-colouring tools) should only be native... seems silly to add latency just for a tool like this. But I still want it, maybe I'll use it for offline processing.
freedom0f5peech: I get minimal latency using a UAD-1 with ProTools. It's hardly noticeable. For some reason, with Samplitude the latency is much more pronounced. Probably 125 ms. As opposed to maybe 10ms in PT. I don't know why.
My latency is low as well... system+ 1-2 uad plugins (not parallel, but stacked) equals about 4-5ms (system is set to 1.5ms). I'm using Nuendo. But I like to keep latency as close to zero while tracking, and this is the kind of tool I would want to record into (Nuendo has the option to place plugins pre-to-disk while recording, like recording into a compressor or EQ). That's why this is the kind of tool I'd want native... I'd only want to record into it.
I wish this twat won't speak over the top of the demonstrations.

When using this were the mics used on a stereo channel together or as two mono channels?

Most probably 2 mono channels

...voxengo does not do the same thing for free??

Meh!! You can get something free from TritoneDigital that will do exactly the same thing and doesn't require DSP.

You still need to apply delay compensation don't you? I'm asking. I don't use Steinberg anymore. ....lately.
