@AntPDC Actually it was origionally sung during St Anne's time for the War of the Spanish succession (John Tams changed Queen Anne to King George for the TV series Sharpe). Couldn't therefore tell if you were trying to make it a montage about the Napoleonic wars (in which case, yes, pictures of the French would be helpful ;) ), or just generally about British forces in the general 18th-19th centuries.
@barneyball1990 I think the tune itself pre-dates its use for specifically political purposes. It's fascinating to explore its history though; thank you and very best wishes.
