hello, I have the flymentor and have a continuous drift problem in hh mode for some reason, without trim or sub trim, did you experience this, or do you have any ideas?
I have a Titan 450 pro and bought the KDS Flymentor, tb and a programmer with a small display that field, you could send the settings used in your Heli that I could have a starting point, I would greatly appreciate it my email is wagnercoelho@ yahoo.com.br, thanks.
ok al stick directions work the correct way, but yet Flymentor still tilts the swash in the same direction as the way the heli is tilting, how can i sort this, thanks.
You need to set the servo parameters on the Flymentor first and check the "counter reaction" is functioning accordingly. After this has been done, then set the stick direction in Control Parameters and your TX.
In Position mode, it will hover the helicopter on a fixed point automatically at a valid height of 0.3~3meters (relative to the ground.)
In Balancing mode, it will have the helicopter in horizontal position automatically. In this mode, the helicopter can keep horizontal flying and will not be affected by illumination or temperature. But ground effect and airflow will still affect the heli. Recommended for Indoor flying.

Can the Flymentor be installed on a flybarless heli? I have a T-rex 450 with a Skokum flybarless system that I would love to equip with a Flymentor.

Something that encourages rather than discourages fly RC heli

Interesting. How fast does it recover from a condition about to cause a crash?

Personally, i have not tried this senario yet. From Normal mode to Balance or Position mode, it perform very well.
There are a few parameters to set in Flymentor to determine the reaction time.

No issue with height in Balancing Mode. The heli will self balance horizontally.
Only in Position mode, due to optical sensor limitation, it can hover at most 3m relative to ground.

Again, how high can the rc heli with this system hover in balancing mode, if say for the purpose of aerial photography?

How high can you fly the heli and still have the stabilizer remain precise?
