Interesting Carl, we today had a sudden change of Prime Minister here in Australia virtually overnight. The ousted PM had the habit of top down Government decision, ie he ran what was known as a 'gang of 4' who made all the decisions without any consultation with the cabinet. Now we have the first Female PM in Australian History and front bench loaded by women.
I've been watching your videos for some time now, and "through you", have tried to open my mind to such things as top-down governance and the possibilities of something good actually coming out of this. However, through much soul searching and cost-benefit evaluations, (to me) it is apparent that "the powers that be", are not going to simply change thier ways because of a few protests. I'm afraid that "real" action amongst the people, whatever that is, is the only way.
@mrbluesfan22 Um. I've actually never been pro or con top down anything. I have actually only predicted that the era of rigid top down government is rapidly passing.
I *have* observed a **minor** cycle within the larger - moon's north node in Capricorn - that favors top down initiatives.
This century is going to be all about the end of top down government, in my view. My real view is that over the next century, there will be an evening out of power between those at the top and the bottom.
What really worries me the most is this opposition between Uranus and Saturn. Its been teasing us since the beginning of Obamas presidency. Saturn (Conservative) in Virgo (service) and Uranus (Liberal) in Aries (challenge) could bring sudden war against traditional services...
@AstroMen2911 Saturn is going back into Libra very soon, leaving Virgo behind. The tension will be between law, tradition and custom (Saturn/Libra), power (Pluto/
Capricorn), and innovation and reform (Uranus).
Saturn will have the upper hand for a long time, yet, meaning that both the power brokers AND the innovators will have to toe the line. No more crazy, seat-of-the-pants, wild-eyed political b.s. etc., This does not bode well for teabaggers and others, or for recklessness generally.
I was born 24-03-1969. I have a startup business related to ecommerce and tourism, launching on 21st June 2010. Whats your view about the success ? Please advise. Thanks
@Robin934 Hello Diana, I fear I would be unable to advise you about such a complex matter, especially on the basis of a brief look at your chart. It would be irresponsible of me. And, at this time, I am not offering private readings. I will, however, offer the general observation that, as an Aries, you are, in fact, beginning a lengthy and genuinely exciting cycle of personal growth and expansion and that is good. Check out Uranus and Jupiter in Aries.
I know this may be a little off topic, but is there any reason the "powers that be" have not tried smothering this oil leak with concrete? Or is this just another chrisis to be taken advantage of?
@mrbluesfan22 I thought they already tried something like that - pumping drilling sand (?) into the well, and then a junk shot, cramming it with, well, junk. Neither thing worked at all. There is too much pressure and too much water for simple, direct containment solutions, from all that I have heard.
thanks I am looking at your video today (Sat. 6/12/10) and alot of your month's issues are happening for me at my job on the mico level have a great rest of the month !!!!
@northwatuppa I'm not sure they show up in the proper sequence either. I don't like the new system. I have to hit "see all comments" to read the proper flow of the conversation. By the way Carl, great June videos, the black and white is very retro! Beautiful graphics also. Thank you for all your work and wisdom.
@mariamsally Thank you! As I've mentioned, I got really tired of struggling with color balance issues. I'll keep trying, though, and maybe use B&W some more. I've recently had a realization about the lighting. I'll see if that helps next time.
BTW, I owe all my success with the graphics to IO Edition astrology software for Mac and Adobe Illustrator - an incredible program, if you can afford it.
Midpoint pictures are very telling indeed! I wasnt aware that chiron could be used in midpoints. I always thought chiron didnt emit energy like the planets do. Unfortunately the eclipse is on my birthday...should be another painful year!
@moonbaby625 My astrology software generates Chiron midpoint stuff and the software company is very picky about details like that. I had to improvise the interpretation, though. Saturn = Neptune/Chiron can't be good. Btw, Solar Arc Chiron conjoined US ASC on 5/10/10!
@moonbaby625 My take is that the US will be pushed to consider the error of its spiritual ways through Chiron imposed suffering. :{
The mine explosion, the oil leak, the attempted car bombing in Times Square, deadly tornadoes and flooding in Nashville and more - all came around the Chiron=Asc.
All these things point to the rough side of Chiron in the US. I think it will happen throughout the 30 years that SA chiron is in the US 1st house. On the upside, maybe we'll get healthcare sorted out.
@northwatuppa Oh the powers that be will hold on for as long as possible. It will take atleast 20 years for them to get it! Some of us citizens understand what needs to be done but I think a large portion can not grasp the concept yet.
@northwatuppa we'll never get healthcare sorted out with this president. he ran as a progressive and fooled alot of people. at least with the other candidates, you knew what you were getting. To say I'm disappointed in his presidency is a colossal understatement. Nothing is worse than a hypocrite......So disgusted I am thinking of leaving the country. I don't see a way out - I want things better for my children and the future of this country.
@northwatuppa LOL! However, he is disappointing at many levels, not just healthcare. I really don't see the change I voted for, and yes, he's only been in office a short time, but he surrounded himself with clintonites, has not taken the country's anger on BP and articulated it, I could go on and on. just a huge disappointment.

Thank you. The thing is, you have to fuss a little bit with the orbs to bring out certain features. I have discovered through years of experience that where such important aspects are concerned, when dealing with an important, full moon chart, and/or when looking at a chart that covers, say, a whole life time, wider orbs are *quite* valid.
Thank you for all your work and I've learned to take notes while watching your videos. I knew about the grand cross but didn't realize the mystic rectangle was there to ease the way. I'm feeling much less anxious about June. Again, thank you for all the work you put into these videos.

It's tough to figure out how this new comment system works. They don't seem to show up in the proper sequence. Or do they?

@mariamsally As you know, when the comment is first posted, it goes to the top of the list - way out of sequence and very confusing.
If you then hit reload, the page reloads with the comments in the proper sequence, but then you have to find them again on the page.

@northwatuppa Thats interesting. Wonder if the US will become wounded or will begin to heal. Chiron is a doubled edged sword!

@northwatuppa I really wish you were wrong but I know your right. 30 years of pain and suffering does not sound like much fun to me...lol!

@moonbaby625 I'm hoping we can learn what needs to be learned earlier rather than later.
But when you think about it, it would take that long for these lessons to sink in, at least.

@mariamsally I have had similar thoughts. However, there are some astrological facts that always come up and soften my judgement.
The moon was void of course at the moment of Obama's swearing in, entering Sag at 12:30pm. This would have happened no matter who was taking office.
Also, there was a lengthy period of retrograde planetary motion for almost the whole of the healthcare reform debate.
Jesus Christ himself could not have gotten legislation through under those circumstances.
