  • ive BEEN to afghanistan.. were ordered to turn the other cheek when see marijuana or opium.. and im quoting my CO "thats not our problem, finding bad guys is"

  • George "Poppy" Bush, Franklin Coverup Scandal, another pedophile, Boodle Boys, richfuck drug dealers from Yale University, so special, more Skull and Bones, creating wars for their Illuminati friends, pure profit.

  • the real news here is the U.S. marines are guarding poppie fields in afghanistan. WATCH "Opium fields guarded by U.S. Troops in Afghanistan" to see Geraldo talking to a Lt. Col. and his marines who's duty it is to protect the poppy fields. It makes this whole story look like total propaganda and rediculous. WATCH

  • if obbama doesnt make opium legal in 2 years id be damned

  • I can´t see how cut the flowers...... freedom for plants,

  • we need a "joe mccarthy" to smoke out the commies - this is such a pinko "news" site, this "real" news, give me a break!

  • Long Live McClatchy

  • I now have three comments in a row. The second one is a reply to andyrewblink182's support of the current 'laws' favoring prohibition of plants.

Watch out Andy, those evil plants will come and get you in the night like all the evil plant characters in your comic books.

Yep the plants of the world will hold a convention and declare people like you illegal. Do you need to be eradicated too?

    Think before you write.

  • i'm not favouring the prohibition if you read my first post i simply said it would be great if they could use poppy seeds for morpine and other medical products. but the truth of the matter was that there is more money involved in the illegal trade of heroin so realisticly it wont happen.

  • right back at you sept i can say read before you write i am going to send you a message with all my posts in your being rediculasly rude and offensive and seem to miss the point i was making entirely. i understand though cos its sucha disjointed way of discussion. hold tight.

  • I saw beautiful flowers and sweet looking children. Yep we better kill the kids and destroy the flowers.

Confusing Taliban and poppies is absurd. This dude is a total idiot.

  • The newscast misrepresents the govt's intentions. Things do not just happen by chance. The Opium and Heroin are still around because there are financial empires at stake, and US investors money at risk. When US $ are at risk overseas, the oligarchy sends in the Marines, after first scaring the public (with their bought-and-paid-for media and politicians dutifully in tow) into demanding it. Fascism by default.

  • lyin hypocrites. NATO is the major entrepeneur in the drugtrade. The infidel invaders earn from the drug trade. No need to quote Tony Soprano.

  • It is no surprise that Drugs remain untouched by governments. Remember that during the Vietnam war drugs were smuggled into the United States in the corpses of dead military. Also remember Britain's shipments of Opiates to China early last century addicting large masses of people. Drugs are controlled by governments, they make money from them so why would they destroy them?

  • Mission accomplished.

  • How high does the corruption go?

All the way to the top.

  • cmon, it was just 9 tons, that was certainly for personal use only ^^, the neighbours said he was always friendly and cheerful .. very ..

  • Laughed all the way nice comment mate.

  • It is all a theater... 75% of the NATO and western supplies come through Pakistan. These supplies are protected by the Taliban as they travel through south Afghanistan. Drugs are taken back on the same trucks. In all directions - and in all posts the Pashtuns benefit - and conflict is about competition in between Pashtun tribes over the vast wealth provided by all of these activities.

  • The question is raised as to what is the real agenda behind the whole operation...why go to such extravagant problem reaction solution schemes.....what is it that is worth all of this evil ?

  • yeah how many problems in the world have you seen really solved by america, the nato or uno? how many humanitarian desasters prevented? strangely ineffective..

i think its different reasons in different layers, im pretty sure the upper layer is mostly hidden, what we see is the theater of the puppets, the people being played, and they follow simple calculated patterns, probably mostly unknowly

  • Indeed - there are multiple layers - deliberately complicated. I have thought maybe it is due to the innate ignorance of man that certain - enlightened ones - feel the need to construct such elaborate charades to use the masses.

If it is for the greater good - in which they move ppl slowly towards the ideal of 'Parliament of Man' then maybe it is a good thing ?

  • questionable even how much has to be constructed, i think much is systemic and works just in itself, but if there really is a well-meaning ends-justifiy-the-means conspiracy it is strangely ineffective, maybe its routine-blindness, lack of oversight, lack of vision, lack of good will - there are very elaborate ideologies that could mislead even refined minds, id say if there really isnt a conspiratorial system like the ones proposed it should be created

  • Ah,

If you haven't seen it, type in "Rockefeller Reveals 9/11 FRAUD to Aaron Russo".

Then you'll know why they were doing this.

Another superb resource is a presentation on Youtube by Michael Ruppert.

He deals with the drug issue, and that the USA economy RELIES on drugs.

  • Thank you. It is really shocking - and ugly - so ugly that one starts to question their own perceptions - saying - no it cannot be - how could they be doing things which are so distant and opposite to all the things promoted in all of the rhetoric. Honestly - in Afghanistan - the Taliban and US work together - and so does Alqaeda. up straight into the hands of the Taliban.

  • We have more to worry about than the growing of Opium! Get Real and WAKE-UP!!!

  • its all connected & people are

  • the CIA want's the profit for there black ops , so bomb the competition

  • Your exactly right. It always been about the opium trade there. Who controls it for their own agenda. Black ops.

  • I subscribe to several news sites on and off you tube. I also read several blogs through out the week. I do my best to find reliable untainted sources. Even then I am careful not to automatically believe everything I hear or read. I am not looking for news or commentary that confirms my assumptions of truth. I want the facts whether I like them or not. These people are doing something special, and I for one appreciate it. If you do not support them yet, please do by becoming a member too.

  • poor afgans have no other way to get money

  • well maybe they d have if we wouldnt subsidize our western farmers and import their crops, and also not push the price of drugs by making them illegal, and watch the earlier segments on the topic, its not really exceptionally profitable or irreplaceable

  • American drug policy is connected to foreign policy. It's no accident that we have these problems. One day Americans will wake up and realize that the biggest problem is the ongoing 40 year federal government drug racket that makes a victim out of entire countries when it could instead stop playing big brother and put the choice where it belongs, in the hands of the users. But it won't do that till forced to because people in government have their own addiction to feed. Power and money.

  • The Taliban has almost entirely eradicated the poppy fields prior to the invasion of 2001.

  • entirely eradicated

    tv , radio, music, dancing, girl-school, make-up,

    sports, western stuff.

  • Cheers for pods!

  • The DRUG war is just one more MISTAKE! The way and the enforcement has bring the DRUGS high in bussines!

Let the world in their traditions becauuse if WEED is prohabitet in USA, is free in Netherlands! The American DEMOCRACY can't really be used in CHINA or Afganistan! Taliban is the same shit whoch was when USA created it!

I think the GAS is the World wide OPIUM!

  • The monies is earned extra in the drug wars , more polic more tax more the rich get more from the people. Then there is the what would they do if was only poppy farming, the politzei would need other jobs, more unemployments, soon no jobs just happy farmers everywhere and the rich sink there ships as no body want clean their barnacles anymore.

  • what?

  • They should be allowed to produce Morphine & dia-morphine from the crop. It would allow them to build an entire regulated pharma industry based around their crops. The land doesn't grow much else & it is very useful in medical uses. There's even a worldwide 'shortage' of pharmacutical morphine.

Why shouldn't the Afghanis & Pakistanis be 'allowed' to develop a legitimate industry of pain medication based on the crop? There are pharma corps all over the world that make opiates 'chemically' anyway.

  • Damn good point.

  • because there is more money outside the legal medical industry. opium and heroin sell better hence why its a problem. if the military stepped into reduce the illegal trade it would not mean that they would shut down the fields they would simply shut down the heroin factories and make sure the poppys are used in morphine. at the moment though morphine is not even on the minds of the people growing the poppys. but i agree with you. its just not going to happen if they are left to do it themselves.

  • Indeed. When made chemically the opiates are extremely 'cheap' to produce.

I agree there's more money in it all when its 'illegal' opiates & that's just a good argument for re-thinking the approach to 'drugs' in general. Perhaps its time to de-criminalize all drugs so that any drug that has medical applications can be used in that application & spend all the 'war-on-drugs' billions on 'education' and information & 'treatment programmes aimed at preventing & curing addiction.

  • i gues.... it would be a mad like 5 year blip where everyone goes woooooooo drugs are legal yay. then it would calm down as everyone starts to think "whats the point meth is shit. i just wanna smoke weed." then it would be alright. but it would be a mad couple of years before. plus the government could tax it big time! which would mean even more money could be put into the counrty. bonus. we'd never have an ecanomic crisis again.

  • i dont even think it would be mad, drugs are known and around already, who had an interest in it certainly tried it already, and you wouldnt get crack in supermarkets, it would be handed out by doctors via application, and really hard drugs would have to be taken under supervision

  • I'm not so sure about the "mad 5 years" either..

In Spain when Franco died they brought in a new Constitution which hadn't been 'tested' in court, so anytime someone got stopped with drugs they just said "its anti-constitutional to stop me doing as I please" & it had to go to court. Most DIDNT end up in court & for about 5 years it was really relaxed about drugs.. It didn't go mad.. people went about their work. The economy didn't 'collapse' (or get imploded) & the sky didn't fall in either!

    ;-)

  • i don't think the world is the same as it was in 75. meth wasn't about, speed, MDMA, extacy and other more modern drug forms. i know mdma and things like it are pretty chilled out drug forms. but the number of drug users in the 70s were pretty much limited to weed and basic forms of acid but even lsd was difficult to get. it is so much easier to get any drug now and i think comparing it to the 70s isn't an acurate presumtion. the world is different now. england is anyway i can't speak for every1

  • well ok meth wasn't about but speed? Yes it was. Its been round much longer than you'd think. MDMA was use in medical psychology to help dying patients cope with the fact they were dying. With excellent results in palliative care.

When it was re-named ecstacy & taken by 'clubbers' in the 80's was when it got banned & most of the cases where people had died were due to either dehydration or over-hydration (drinking too much liquid).

    Hallucogens have unexplored potential too.

  • what i meant though was they were not a problem and not widely available. even coke was only bought by the rich and famous. it was not nearly as available as today. i don't think any similar situation has ever happened in the past that would be a comparison to what might happen if all drugs became legal. ok it wont go mental as in apocalypse but i wasn't saying it would. i still think it would be impossible to anticipate what might happen though. and in some cases it would be risky.

  • in Victorian times and up till early in the last century, people could buy any drugs in the chemist shop (drug store to Americans).

Even coke was available.. as was heroin.. and Marijuana was in nearly 50% of ALL medications on the market because its so efficatious in treating so many different ailments. Queen Victoria took it for her menstrual pains... nobody thought for a second there was anything 'wrong' with people doing whatever they choose with their own bodies & their own health.

  • Not true. My Dad got out of the Navy in 1952 in CA. Speed was cheap and easy to get - so easy and so cheap that is why he left CA. He saw that taking these pills would lead down a bad road. They called them Bennies then.

In the 70s Drs handed out speed like candy. I know because they gave it to every woman in my family who was 5Lb overweight.

Bad as they were, none of these pills compared the meth.

    Some progress, huh?

  • also i wasn't aware your dad was posted in spain... cos thats where i was talking about when speed and things came into question. you must be only readin half of my comment and misunderstanding. so it is true isn't it? really?

  • @gmfutube I think that you are talking about crosstops, little flat tabs with crisscross's.

Meth is an evil created by someone who must worship satan, so much death and destruction, meth creates monsters, men become bastards, women become bitches, look up the frigging ingredients.

  • @badattitude77769 If you worship satan do you get good stuff like that for real? Lucky bastards get all the good stuff these days.

  • @gmfutube I think that you are talking about crosstops, little flat tabs with crisscross's.

Meth is an evil created by someone who must worship satan, so much death and destruction, meth creates monsters, men become bastards, women become bitches, look up the frigging ingredients.Meth is a creation of the loser satan.

  • also like to add that so many more people would become interested in drugs if they became legal. i am using an example with the prohibition during the 20s in the US. i know people did still drink and it was still available but it was alot harder to get hold of. like drugs today. people still drank in speak easy's but it wasn't the majortiy which it is now its legal. i think drugs would be potentiolly the same. however i cannot say for sure as its not happened and isn't likely too either.

  • i think alcahol during the prohibition was as widely available as drugs in england now. saying it easy to get drugs is an understatement but its still not done by the majority of people.

  • well of course its always "those people" who will take drugs.. and so some people think the answer is to make Laws to stop those people from doing things to themselves.

I don't drink much but its legal. I used to but now I don't. Likewise I'm sure more people will 'try' drugs but I don't think any more will continue to used them than use them today.. except where it might be helpful of course, such as with marijuana in pain management & MS & cancer treatments etc...

    ..and why not?

  • Do you have any statistical information regarding the percentage of drinking before and after prohibition or are you just making it all up because you 'think' that people drank less when it was illegal.

How about using the number of lives ruined by prohibition itself - a vast number certainly in the current prohibition which is responsible for much of the current social unrest. Of course the alcohol prohibition was much shorter. Yet the horrors of that time are famous. It's worse today.

  • indeed the Mafia was born out of prohibition... and today we haave a global network of organised crime & drug networks that tie in with 'terrorists' and criminal elements everywhere... and we allow them to continue to make BILLIONS every year from 'illegal' drugs when we could make them 'legal' & get that money back into society.

Just think how many trillions have gone up people's noses since the 70's alone! Where did that money go?

  • i was simply using prohibtion as an example to say that people still used the drugs when it was illegal it was just less widely avaiable. i was suggesting that more people would become drug users if it was legalised. which wouldn't be a good thing. if you like i will message you all of the posts i have made in order for you to understand the points i was trying to make. but you have clearly gotten muddled joining the discussion mid way through.

  • Wrong again.

Before the prohibition of alcohol few women drank because it was socially taboo. Prohibition made it "cool".

One of the women who campaigned the hardest for prohibition was one of the first to try to have it repealed.

  • oh right you are so since prohibiton has been irradicated less woman have started drinking, yeah that sounds right. oh no hang on no it doesn't. i was saying since its become legal after being illegal alcahol consumption has just been a normal thing to do by the majortiy. i couldn't care what it was like before that wasn't the pont i was making. i was just saying drug consuption might reflect this and become a normal thing to do. it was just a suggestion too i wasn't shouting the gospel. chillax

  • oh just so you know i started off that reply with sarcasm. not sure how fermiliar you ae to it.

  • If the law hadn't cracked down on other forms of speed, there would be no meth.

People like drugs, it is just that simple. Outlaw one drug and someone will cook up another.

50 yrs of the War on Drugs - are things worse or better?

  • Much worse

  • Until there is a real Peace Process in place and things settle down no real Productive industry will be allowed to grow and war in itself is an industry of death destruction and profit . Because of the war situation - The Taliban need money to fund there war efforts so the Misuse of this Drug will continue . Sad I know but good point you make .

  • If it is de-criminalised & produced 'cheaply' then that would deny both the Taliban & organised crime their income. How would they fight a war without funding?

Mind you, to even be fighting a full-on war with the 'West' means they must be getting arms from somewhere or at least the materials to produce them.

This is why they're called "Theatres of War" because its a big power play with real lives being lost & billions 'spun' from weapons sales, drugs & 'extremism' all serving a larger agenda!

  • "There are pharma corps all over the world that make opiates 'chemically' anyway. "

Pharma companies are one of the top powers in the world...as soon as they figure out how to maximize profit on both the opium fields and weed production...to the outright exclusion of all others...it will be done.

They don't like the idea that opium and weed can be grown by the guy next door to be used as homeopathic medicine...no profit in that! So right now, being illegal, it gives the pharmas a monopoly.

  • God created the plants.

  • They are plants. Natural Flora. Why are we fighting wars over this? Who stands to gain from these wars?

    Maybe the "Rocker.... "

    *My head gets blown off*.......

  • @mldnathai Skull and Bones, from yale university, created by the russell crime syndicate crime family, moving the opium to china in the 1800's. I know many, many bigtime drug dealers tied into the united states government, love some of these people, detest what they do. Do a search: "boodle boys". Some of the F--'s from the past made a fortune from the nazi slave labor camps, laundered the money at 66 wall street, brown brother harriman, fellow skull and bones members, the symbol for pirates Boo

  • @badattitude77769 smart guy, here one u dont know. those plants there killing or chopping down. they've already extracted its juice.. just for show....those r dry pods

  • @mldnathai fellers, good old boys, their assholes are blown up.

  • If you stop the Afghanis from growing the Opium poppy (you will waste BILLIONS of dollars) they will be grown somewhere else.

  • so true.... as long as there is demand, somebody will be there to provide.

  • and if there are foreign invaders pounding the shit out of your villages, turning to the opium of the masses is what's gonna happen.

  • well you wont waste billions. its not as much about ending the supply of drugs to the world (although it would significantly drop the amount produced in the world) but more about cutting the funding of the Taliban. don't you think cutting the funding of the Taliban is worth it.

  • So why was that when the Taliban was running things they had cut the poppy production drastically?

The Taliban forbid the growing of opium.
