Quran says "wa yazkuroon Allaha qiyaman wa qu'udan wa ala junubihim" that clearly proves that v can perform zikr as and when we like. In tafseer of aaya "fazkurooni azkurukum" mufasireen say that if u remember Allah alone, He will remember u alone. If u remember Him in congregation of humans, He will remember u in the congregation of angels.
We have much more to say in this regard. all we have to suggest that if someone doesnot like donot do it but dont critisize on remembrance of The Almighty.

Allah just because it is being done in a congregation. Remember two things:
1) Allah likes congregation as he mentioned in Holy Quran "warkao ma'ar raaki'een".
2) If someone claims that this type of zikr is unislamic, one has to prove with Quran and sunnah. If cannot prove it, its lawfull....... (continue in next comment)

My brother in islam please try to listen to different Scholar,muftis,ulemma from different fiqh,maslak. Its my humble suggestion. Please try to go to a masjid where they do this zikr & ask the Imam about that.

Call me terrorist or wahabi, but it does not change the fact, islam is known to all, islam is mehfooz(safe) in Quran, in sunnah, in seerah and in ijmah. Now someone mentioned Qiyas...i just wana tell him, very humbly that Qiyas is "judging", in the light of "known" practices of islam, when there is some matter arise for which we can not really find a reference in the books. but it has nothing to do with "ibadah" or rituals, it is about law. in Hadiths some of sahabas were doing zikir of ALLAH swt and when Prophet SAW asked them what are you doing they replied we doing zikir for ALLAH swt so Prophet SAW said to them if you are doing zikir for ALLAH swt so you may do so and you will get reward from ALLAH swt.

Sure , give me reference to any of the Suhabah, tabaeen, or taba tabaeen, that they did Zikr, in the way these guys are doing. We can not do anything which is not mentioned in islam and.... we are not supposed to even go near anything doubtfull.
there are alots of Hadiths Sahabas doing Zikir in a group in a ijemah where Prophet said Angels look for this kind of getherings to join them because where people remember ALLAH swt thats where Rahamah comes my brother if you dont to do it just say you dont want to remember ALLAH swt.
this is not weird, it's a form of concentration and you say the words La illaha illalah 33 times. Then repeat it again faster and the third time again a little faster. Often you see this when a person has died and when you have the 3dr, 7th and 9th day of remembrance (sorry 4 my bad english)
