  • could you tell me where can i watch this film?

  • wouldn't Kate Winslet make a good choice for a revival of this film?

  • @lucydanielraby yeahhh i agree. she kinda looks like the girl in this movie too. (:

  • The music I lovely. I've been looking for the film for a while now, but it's so hard to find it! I read the novel and I loved it...but the ending and downfall was awful to read.

  • My mother named me also from this movie, she was in love with Hollywood films!

  • Does anyone know where I can watch this movie online? My mom named me after this chick. Btw: 0:38 she looks like the cowardly lion from wizard of oz. lol. What was my mom thinking? Guess I have to watch the movie.

  • This is one of my favorite movies, thanks for posting.

  • Linda darnell as a puritan maiden ????

  • @serialhound she was far from puritan! she was a restoration wench.

  • How do YOU think the book was supposed to end??

  • I love great book titles and Forever Amber is one of my favorites, right up there with Gone With The Wind, The Grapes of Wrath and Tender is the Night. The title evokes what the book is, romantic and terrific.

  • One of my favourite films, the book is great too. George Sanders, Linda Darnell, Cornell Wilde .. can't ask for more!

Glenn Langan who plays Captain Rex Morgan also plays Dr Jeff Turner in "Dragonwych".

Jessica Tandy also played in "Forever Amber" as Nan Britton and "Dragonwych" as Peggy.

Anne Revere also playing in "Forever Amber" as Mother Redcap and "Dragonwych" as Abigail Wells

  • I saw this movie long ago on tv.

Would someone put it on youtube? Amazon wants a high price for it!

  • There was never a sequel to Forever Amber. The author Kathleen Winsor had considered writing Amber in America but never did. The movie and the book are

    my favorites.

  • when i was 13 i read this book && now as a 19 year old , i would love to see this movie re made. i know its not going to be done , but it would be awesome. i love amber && i love all the love she was able to give. idk i just reallly loved the book , but the movie was okaay.

  • Kathleen Windsor wrote Forever Amber. I read it as a teenager and could not put it down. The movie I saw several years ago, and it was of course a watered down version of the book as I suppose Hollywood at that time had to understate Amber's flamboyant life, but the movie was still good. Amber is still my favorite heroine, I would love to have my own copy of the book.

  • I too read it when I was younger and have always remained infactuated with the story. Amber is awful at times. I am now reading it again. So how do you write the ending in your imagionation? I have not seen the movie and would love it see it just once. I think Hollywood forgot that Amber had just turne 16 when she left with Lord Carlton. If you loved this book you may like another, Green Darkness by Anya Seton. Excellent read re: young herion who fights for forbidden love at all cost.

  • @VenusBlue4u totally agree with you, i've read both forever amber (given to me by my mother when i was 16, and read by my grandmother when first published, its still our favourite book!) and green darkness many, many times...and i love them both so dearly!! i still have the same copy, its really fragile, i probably will have to buy another copy if i want to read it again

  • @petralailso are you sure its by the same author? cause i can't find it. can you tell me a little bit of what its about or what happens?

  • what follow up books?

  • I have read the book few years ago, and was amazed by the story and the way it's written. I'll be grateful, if somebody tell me where I can download the movie! Thank you! :)

  • thank you so much .

i am waiting for this movie uploading.

  • P.S. What is this beautiful music that goes along with this really beautiful video?

  • Harry Gregson-Williams - Evacuating London, The Chronicles of Narnia OST

  • The movie is finally out on DVD! Read the book first and be stunned!

  • im in the middle of reading the book to this. its so good..and its really sad..

  • Never saw the movie but LOVED the book as a teenager!

  • I saw it many years ago and remember how touching a movie it was.

Cornell Wilde. Played her love interest and Linda Darnell played the star Womans part.

See it if you can it was wonderful.

  • It was a lovely classic movie

  • I loved that movie I

Saw it when I was a young girl and never forgot it. It was super. Linda Darnell played the lead woman star and Cornel. Wild played her love interest. They both were super actors. If you can find the

Movie go see it. It is well worth it. A lovely classic movie.
