  • Actually that's not all *flying jump kicks her to the face*

  • To Mother: Fuck You. That is all.

  • is this dylan singing ?

  • My favorite Dylan song. The ultimate fuck-off song.

  • this song makes me think of my sister, need i say more?, thanks for uploading, well done.

  • singing along to this song is so theraputic!!!! haha, a few years ago my ex bestfriend was always putting me down and being horrible to me to make herself feel better and to get more popular "NOW I KNOW YOU'RE DISSATISSFIED WITH YOUR POSITION AND YOUR PLACE, DON"T YOU UNDERSTAND THATS NOT MY PROBLEM!!!!????"

  • This is my favorite Bob song ever !!!!!!

  • @Delia1950 it's a veeeeery good song, but, have you ever heard Hurricane?

  • @00ligeirinho Good song, but nothing but a lie. dylan knows that today. He doesn't even play it anymore.........

  • @Eastonfan1 He stopped playing first because it was polemic (though he is polemic too). and the lyrics are almost everything true. I love Positively 4th street (this version not so much), and the lyrics are powerful, wich i love. But Hurricane he did: the right story, the right rythim, the right voice and the right lyrics.

See, the only album with Hurricane was the one that it was the one when the music came out. THat's because of the trial, not because is a lie.

  • @00ligeirinho Sorry buddy, I to once believed in his innocence. I no longer do. I read plenty of trial transcript, witness testimony that was disallowed from the trial. THIS MAN WAS A COLD BLOODED KILLER. There is no longer any doubt in my mind about that. He fooled everyone for awhile. To bad you still believe it. Do some homework, you to will see the truth.

  • @Eastonfan1

everyone believes in what they want or think it's true. everyone's got an opinion. I'm sorry, but I will still believe in it. And being or not being the truth, the song still gives a lesson about racism, wich is one more point to it. Almost any songs are true, true, toootally true. I believe Hurricane is. Positively 4th street isn't, but it can say how much anger it passes. Not true, but with a meaning behind. Even if Hurricane isn't a true story, it does have a meanning too.

  • @00ligeirinho ur starting a conversation that would literally never end lol... bobs got waaaaaaay too many "good ones"

  • @LUCKas1212 Yeah, true. But I'm just saying that I like Hurricane better than aaall Dylan's songs. But I DO think all his songs are great! I even did a list with my favorite songs ever, and Dylan is with 10 in 150, and I think I can do 150 only of Dylan songs. He's amazing.

  • @00ligeirinho lol yea true that i tried to put a playlist together of like my top 20 favs but he has waaaaaay too many "good ones" that its just impossible.. and whats funny is most of the really great great great ones (to me at least) are the ones that were never "big" and mostly overlooked! like mama you've been on my mind and if not for you.. cheers!

  • @LUCKas1212 as I said, i love all his songs. but I always try to listen to everything, but, as the well known ones (Like a Rolling stone, Mr. tambourine man, Hurricane, Blowing in the wind) are played more everywhere, wanting or not, I will hear more them.

  • Thumbs up!

  • Jesus is the only hope of salvation from the guilt of sin. He is God come in the flesh. And he came to wash away our sins with his blood that he shed on the cross. Salvation is a free gift, but you must repent and ask Jesus to save you from your sins and come into your heart. God is good. It is written, "The just shall live by his faith."

  • @FaithEntertainment

Why are you posting this? Are you an inpatient in a mental health facility?

  • I LOVE THIS SONG IT WAS B 4 ITS TIME U NO

  • I'm readin' this book on Dylan, Joan Baez, Mimi Baez Parina & Richard Parina - it's called "Positively 4th Street" - supposedly the street in Greenwich Village in NYC where he met these friends...this song was a tribute to his relationship and later break up with Joan Baez- just another ordinary supertune Dylan endlessly is able to write.

  • this is as close to Bob as it can everbe

  • @steeplechaserider Indeed. It is very true to the oritinal intent

  • Sorry, but this just IS NOT "THE" Bob Dylan. It's a good cover. Throughout my former life at Albright College in Reading, PA, this tune was practically my ANTHEM as sung by the GREAT Mr. Dylan. I played this frequently on my college radio show as well.

  • Why can't i find the original song? It's all covers!

  • @crysisguy05 u want original, pay the man. what's ur prob 2 cheap2cough up 90cents 4a download on ur pod or what.

  • @paulhallart actually i don't download songs if it isn't absolutly necessery. i ligally own a lot of his cd's. in fact, i'm heading to his concert in a few hours

  • @crysisguy05 I wasn't talking download it's just that I see this all the time. maybe I'm missing something here. Dylan has a website where u can pay a small fee2listen2his original stuff. it's kind of like putting a dime in a juke box back in the day only this time it's on ur own 'puter where ever. lots of us made a living playing our original songs on the street or in cafes, but on the net not only do they have a puky 4free attitude, they don't listen2original, as didNYC'60's, only famous.

  • Pretty good cover dude. I liked it.

  • Besides all of us who have had relationships with: selfish, narcisstic? sociopaths, this was Bob's tribute to Joan B.

  • How come I can't find a Bob Dylan version of this Bob Dylan song?

  • @deliciousmorton I just read that sony is putting that slam down on his stuff..Sucks buttermik..Kate

  • @deliciousmorton oh that's no problem delic. just go to bobdylan and pay the man. like I said. until then. u get what u get.

  • So unbelievable

  • My dad once broke up with a girl by playing this song to her. He gave her a tape with it and said, "Whenever I hear this song I think of you".

  • @jacinthebox9 Funny you say that, because I know a few blokes that fit this description as well. I don't think its solely based on a single gender simply based on the fact that a bloke sings it. I wouldn't generally comment on such a thing, but feel compelled on the basis of your response.

  • It's not that complicated

This song is about his seperation from the people in the folk music scene who he was part of a few years back in his career.

  • Can someone tell me WHERE THE HELL THE REAL VERSION OF THIS SONG IS?!?!

  • @GivepeaceachanceJL I have been looking for days,,exhausting considering how much stuff he did..I have it on Cd..but I'd like to sit here and listen.."you don't what a drag sony is to find you"K

  • @GivepeaceachanceJL It was a single, last song of Hiway 61 Revisted didn't go on the album. So its on his 1st greatest hits cd

  • Comment removed

  • @GivepeaceachanceJL It WAS on here, but youtube removed it.

  • @GivepeaceachanceJL The LP in my home in Brazil.

  • I wish I could find Dylan's original recording of this song, but this is by far and away the best cover amongst all the rest, the one that comes closest to sounding like the original, damn fine job!

  • Awsome ! Very Good !

  • thans to all. conszy. yere too ffffin lazy to get off ter holez

  • Best cover I have evah heard of Dylan! WTG! BRAVO!

  • He ran out of ideas 40 years ago...

  • @Baskerville22 As in 1971? troglodyte

  • love it. i can so relate to this song. this tune will always be timeless

Favorite line: "You know what a drag it is to see you." :)

  • Yes, I wish that for just one time

You could stand inside my shoes

You’d know what a drag it is

    To see you

And now I know you’re dissatisfied

With your position and your place

    Don’t you understand

    It’s not my problem

  • Hey Dylan, thanks for taking away my past with your selfish worry of copyright! .I guess you really ARE the dickhead I've always suspected of you....here's a song, " Go FUCK yourself, ASSHOLE".

  • @purveyor24 leave him be. grandpa needs a few dollars for a new guitar, a harmonica and good boots to ramble about playing his tunes like in old times ;) lol

  • @purveyor24 Its not Dylan. Its the record company.

  • @purveyor24

    Bite me loser

  • @purveyor24 You've got a lotta nerve...

  • ni dearfaidh me aris e

  • one of the greatest songs ever made

thx god that gave us bob dylan !

  • @moti4love

Right on friend, Bob Dylan rocks..Absolutly the best song ever!!!!!

  • That replay button is getting pretty tired right now...

  • i thought the Hanaway Band performed this cover

  • this is when I knew he was a "good boy" his first stanza of this song.

  • Haha, Bob named this after 4th Street in Minneapolis... I live a block away from his apartment here. :3

  • We have all been there before..This song is a masterpiece!!!!!!!!

  • Download this album in the link that i put on the information of the video!

  • @velvetgoldmine4400 I clicked on the link, but can't quite figure out how to download the album from your Taringa! page. (I'm new to Taringa! and I have only an elementary grasp of Spanish.) Any suggestions? I REALLY want this album...

  • @velvetgoldmine4400 yes it is

  • especially to my ex wife

  • Everybody's had someone in their life they wanted to say this to. Timeless, classic Dylan.

  • BOB DYLAN FOR PRESIDENT!

  • dylan reads my mind. go in the marine corp come home after a long time. people change and the ones you once loved ain't the same anymore. nothing to be mad about though its just life.

  • This isn't the real version dumb shits

  • just love it

  • this is actually a good cover compared to all the other crappy ones i've heard

  • @saints7046 the stereophonics one is good. cant beat the original tho

  • Great song,love it

  • @ ullsansky; u r right man, nothing against any covers but the "master" sounds better(to me at least)

  • Brilliant song, Its Like Saying " Dont Insult My F..kin Intelligence"

  • 2 people are positively dumbasses

  • that was well done! i love it! check out our vids!

  • ..position AND YOUR PLACE. not Face.

  • Is this really happening in our world? For real? Money trumping music, prevention of musical promulgation via the world wide web? Gotta love capialism! This disgusts me.

  • Lovely!

  • Must be nice to have that power! Is this the come upence of elderly folk singers.

  • The best.

  • This Cat is such a challenge, but I know how they all come in in realty. Not really, but somewhat! WTF, Bob? Best line, it's not my problem... you know what a drag it is to see you(I need cigs, now).

  • Dedicated to Nancy Reid of Athens Drive Sr. High in Raleigh,NC.You were my 11th grade Algebra II teacher. The first thing you ever said to me was"I don't want you in my class."---Have a nice day.---You sucked.---Totally.This is your song,Nancy Reid!

  • Thank you for these...To Me,Dylan forever has been pure Magic...his songs be a sacred soothing salve for mending a Spirit Scattering....Again, TY...

  • yo, I am still 59 and never did acid. Wow.

  • Let's do the math. For once, somebody is older and it ain't me babe.

  • my favorite also - wish i could get the real dylan version

  • @patriciagail88 The real Dylan version was on here a few months ago and boy, was it good...It was taken down as usual. I cried for days as I was trying to get over a broken love affair and this song somehow cheered me up. However, this group does a fairly good version. Next best thing to Dylan...

  • I don't know how the hell we can still listen to this but I am sooooo very grateful !!

    my favourite Bob song !!!

  • if its not dylan why is it on my best of dylan cd?

  • My favorite Dylan song ever!

  • Yo, listen, if he had one shot on American Idol...what up? It is so crazy today, you kind of wonder how many young artists are not getting a shot.

  • so bob dylan sold the rights to his songs to 'the man'????? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHa. how f-ing typical.

  • This was my "tude" when I graduated from Cath'lic school.. And then they paid attention..

  • Not too many could do that voice? Seriously? This is not a forum for comedy.

  • This is the kid. Just for that moment... I could be...

  • bob dylan is the shit. and hes still cool in his 60s!

  • Check the version by Johnny Rivers, Dylans own favourite, you won't regret it!

  • This is not Dylan , sorry folks

  • Hippies 4 eva!!! :)

  • Stop, how funny, This is the boy!

    1!

  • "You said you lost your Fatih, but thats not where it's at.

You had no Faith to loose, to begin with."

    - Dylan

Those words pinpoint the demise of society which sealed humanity's fate. Sat back and allowed those who worship the Master of Deception, to play humanity with an Evil Illusion, taught as scientific fact. Evolution, obliterated the scientific standard of "irrefutable evidence".

  • This song goes out to all the Atheist/Satanist Godforsaken Nazis, directly responsible for every War, every deceitful manipulative calculated lie ever told, to advance their evil agenda against God and humanity.

  • Well I guess Bob was singing about whoever owns the copyright of this song. Which must be why they took his original version off YouTube....Actually I bought the original once but now they would like me to pay for it again. And again. And again. Wouldn't it be nice for record companies if you had to pay every time you listen to a song?

  • Please pardon me - Mr.' Real Singer' - but the voice also sounds like coming from a teenager guy named "Jovit Baldivino" who could sing "Carrie" very well. See the 2-minute version of Jovit's "Carrie" cover song in youtube. I bet he could cover Bob Dylan's songs very well. So in the future - I wish, i wish, i wish - Jovit would sing Dylan's cover songs.

  • For all you young whipper snappers out there, let me tell you this is THEE Bob Dylan

singing. I know cause I was there. Era 1960's

  • who the hell cares its a great song!!!!

  • peppertee, it is Bob D singing this song! He wrote it too! X

  • @pollypoppettoo Don't think it is mate - it's a great cover, but it's not Bob.

  • this is for all of us with false friends and lovers!

  • Oh well, I am in search of the original version. This is not the Bob version.

  • "i wish that for just one time you could stand inside my shoes, you'd know what a drag it is to see you." one of the best lyrics ever - was it written about joan baez?

  • @tearmann I KNOW IT IS ISN'T...LOVE IT

  • @tearmann I KNOW AWSOME

  • bien pestes!

  • One time I broke it off with a guy!!He recorded this to casette, and mailed it to me!!!!!LOL!

  • A tribute to my soon-to-be-ex. It fits almost perfectly. I'd have written my own song, but why reinvent the wheel?

  • Bob Dylan is my favorite artist. This is his best song/poetry.

  • A song to all the bullies in the world !!

  • Oh Man how young is his voice on this ???

    Total CLASS

  • Oh my God this is the song that made me love Bob Dylan.

Everyone in my class at school laughed at me cos they all loved Donavan who copied Bob.

So many years on I still LOVE him to bits.

  • Absolute kicks where it hurts. Great song! Love it!

  • Why did all of bob dylans songs get taken off of youtube?

  • @ullsansky copyrights problemes i think

  • @ullsansky damn you're right! i cant find many of them anymore!

  • @ullsansky yes, why, why, why....???? all I can find are covers, just not the same as Bob and his impish voice, No one can sing his songs like the man himself. So, so annoying!!!

  • @ebby2468 Some of the best songs ever written (by BD of course) were sung and made into #1's by other STAR performers, BD wasn't merely a writer/singer a lot of the time he was MERELY a writer of songs for special people and/or purposes.

  • @ullsansky i know it is impossible to find any bob dylan orginals, it is made harder when people fail to write cover in the title.

  • @ullsansky probably simon cowell hating on good music

  • @boydie40

Good music? I would rather stick rusty nails in my ears and grind them against a solid steel door. He has no talent whatsoever. Nothing. He'll never make it.

Lucky for him, he only needs two to get through to Hollywood, so. He's in ..

  • @ullsansky because you touch yourself at night

  • @ullsansky They rock too much. YouTube can't handle it.

  • @ullsansky as sony is a pile of pish!

  • @ullsansky Because, ultimately, the only ones who are permitted anything for free, anymore, seem to be those who already have the most anyway.

  • @ullsansky yeeeeaaaaahhh.....my favorite....& u get just cheap covers of him...even looking for a GOOD cover.....nothing there....

  • one of his greatest songs

  • Is this really Simply Red singing this?

  • @cmbrewer this is defo Bob D singing this song. Simply Red did cover it, and did a good job too! But this is the best!

  • @cmbrewer Oh NO This is Bob !!!!!!!

  • @cmbrewer no he is not the singer, i dont know who is the real singer. igot the original cd but there`s no information about the singer.

  • @velvetgoldmine4400

There's no such thing as an original CD where Dylan is concerned. If it's not on vinyl it doesn't count.

  • @velvetgoldmine4400

Sounds like Dylan himelf ... maybe it's a dhfferent take from the one he released as a record

  • @cmbrewer Sounds like Dylan to me!

  • Lyrically this is genius, but musically this is way too repetitive for me.

  • Great cover & I'm a picky Dylan fanatic. This song hits the spot right now. People suck.

  • This song would have been a brilliant feature on "Highway 61 Revisited" or "Blonde On Blonde"! It's true to say that some of his best songs are not even included in his albums ("Blind Willie McTell", "I'm Not There", etc.). Thank God for bootleg albums!

  • @lamc93 It would have been too much to have "Like a rolling stone", "Ballad of a thin man" and this on the same album, it would have been dubbed "the hatred record" ! And lyrically it's too simple & straightforward compared with the overall tone of H61R". On BOB, maybe (more diverse in tone), but sound wise it's much closer to H61R. It really was an in-between song, just like "Good vibrations" wouldn't have fitted on either Pet sounds or the discarded (well, 37 years delayed) Smile.

  • yep the best F you, go away, drop dead song ever written

  • Sheer brilliance. One of his greatest pieces of work.

  • Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, and Neil Young.

The Father, The Son, and The Holy Ghost.

  • I wish that for just one time

You could stand inside my shoes

You'd know what a drag it is

    To see you

    grande!!

  • @freednat Yes mate, couldn't agree with you more. The ultimate (and classy) up yours song that has truly stood the test of time.

  • who is this singing? sounds so much like Dylan...Great work!!

  • This is fantastic. A fantastic cover of a fantastic song. Great work.

  • Great cover man, whoever did this, ku-do's

  • Comment removed

  • Like someone remarked, this is arguably the best "f*ck you" song ever written. The way Dylan manages to convey his hostility toward the hapless victim of his vituperation without using a single expletive is wonderful (in a nasty, mean-spirited way of course!).

  • @kariaudar Naaah - but it's the best fu*k-after-having-been-apart-song ever written

  • @kariaudar true! iirc the song was directed to many in general but to Phil Ochs specifically
