Is the material harder, in general, than on the American version? Also, what's the deal with the Daily Double? (a) It appears to be called by the same name as the show and (b) it appears that all of the contestants are wagering on it or are responding to it (I can't really tell).
@RobertKS As much as I can tell from watching Jeopardy! on YouTube, Russian version is harder. You must be pretty smart to keep up with the contestants. In American version the contestans seem to be just normal people while in Russian version they are enthusiasts (at least now).
(a) It's not a 100% copy of Jeopardy! The rules and the game itself are diffrent in some ways.
(b) They're bidding for the question against each other.
In the first seasons the values were in thousands of rubles, but, as far as I know, later, 1 "game ruble" was equivalent to some real rubles or to 1 Deutschmark
I see. And when I examined the game, they did started off with 50k rubles through the credit card. Must've been pretty expensive during the Svoya Igra 1995 era. And Alexander Druz, phew, talk about a good payoff as champ.
This must be a different Jeopardy! set, with a cat image on a board simulator. Man, Russia is different compared to ours like our grid set from 1991-1996.

@016Yuri600 Вот поэтому он, в отличие от Алекса Требека из Jeopardy, никогда не выходит из-за стойки. :)

Cheriksoft, have to ask. Were the values on the board in Rubles or points? If it is, like the first round could range to 10 to 50 thousand roubles?
