I know little fella all about SARCASM very very well, and seeing that I responded, and why you brought up the "Red wings of today" made no sense at all. In that era of Hockey, the Detroit Red Wings were one of the most physical teams there were. So as for the "Detroit Boys of today?" They just kick your Ass on the score board leave ya wondering what the hell that was, and what it WILL BE my young friend is a second Stanley Cup!

i miss strader and redmond calling games, they were great together. bill clement and gary thorne were the best, what we have these days suck! just isnt the same anymore, takes away from the game, thornes color commentary made it so exciting!!

strader and redmond were great. Unfortunately they left after the '96 season I believe so they were on board for the Stanley Cup Championship in '97.

I would have to say that Yzerman won this fight. He took a barrage of punches from Maguire, but wasn't even phased by them. And then after they both went down he got out of his grips and KO'd Mag with a few shots.

Damn I would have hated facing the Wings back in the day, not only could they score 5 or 6 goals on you, but if you wanted to play a little old-time-hockey, Probert and Kocur were just waiting in the wings.
