sorry buddy, but thats all wrong. the only thing neccesary for a smooth motion was thicker oil. the flow rate is adjustable by rpm. just watch the videos of the finished truck.
to slow it down. solder up the end of a fitting on the cylinder and drill a tiny hole to start out with to see what it's speed is..then increase as needed
this clip was made during the test phase. if you watch my newer video "Mercedes Benz truck off road" you see how it is working now. slower and more powerful. I am using the same pressure and the same cylinder but thicker oil.

If u use a restriction valve, oil cant be pressed out as fast through the line.
I would mount the cilinder more at an angle when in f down position its easier on the hinges, cilinder and all the bolts.

you need to make a restriction valve for the drop.
is the weight lifting capacity to scale?
i would try a pump with a smaller displacement (if you can)
