I've been wondering this for a while.... I can understand making a mold to create duplicates, But my question is, What material do you recommend I use to create a sculpture ? instead of just using an existing sculpture ? do you have any links to where I can buy the sculpting material?
i was interested in using thic technique on a ceramics piece. will it work and if so, is it necessary to get auto body black primer, or can i use regular spray paint?
Permalac is a spray-on clear coat that works offers good UV and corrosion resistance. Permalac would be applied after the final patina has been applied.
Thank you Very much, Very informative and helpful, i needed to research and learn this technique and you Nailed it for me thank you for the help my Design Project will now have a lovely Copper patina/verde green finish.

@hammyhottixoxox These are hard materials to find, hence our webstore and the goodies therein. Yes, it will work over fired clay.

You only need to seal a bisque fired piece prior to painting.
