  • Beautiful version of this song. I had the Vince Gill one played at my husband and son's funeral May, 2011. Husband was ill for a long time but my son was only 39. Died of a massive heart attack 48 hours before his dad. God bless them both.

  • I love this song. On January 25, 2008, my Godson was murdered in Phoenix, AZ. This loss has left a hole in my heart nothing can fill. But along with the tears every day, there's the rock solid assurance he's in heaven with Jesus, and I'll see him again someday. Rest in peace, Corey.

  • Vince Gill wrote this song about his brother. He does a great job of this song, but the ladies I'm afraid take the prize. The repeating of the last line puts the icing on the cake.

  • Vince Gill wrote this song about his brother, and I thought he did a great job, but I'm afraid this version tops them all. Thanks Bill, for having them sing that one line over and over again. It puts the icing on the cake when they sing that at the end.

  • charlotte should do more solo's! saw mark lowery intro the easter's on youtube, not one word about charlotte and she was singing with them! what a slap! the easter's will never be the same without her!!

  • Vince wrote it and does a fine job, but I'm afraid the ladies take the prize. The repeating of the last line puts the icing on the cake.

  • So beautiful....so moving....

  • How come other religions cannot produce music to match the christian religion, They dont come close

  • They don't have Jesus, that's why.

    God Bless

  • How do you know?

From what perspective would you choose?

Did someone once say something to you about judging?

As wayward religions are, one legacy will be the beautiful music they spawned.

  • Because we have a Savior and His name is Jesus Christ. Why would anyone sing about a "God" who is either dead or a created image?

Have a blessed week and God Bless,

    Jeff

  • When I heard Charlotte sing this I couldn't get off my mind. I looked up the title and see that it was written by Vince Gill. My husband Joe, died on Mother's day May 13, 2007. He died from a heart attack after going thur Chemo. Joe was a 100% disabled Viet Nam veteran. These words could not have been more fitting for the last 19 years of his suffering from the ravage of that war. Go bless you Charlotte and Gill.
