i would get a Creative. couse i have always had one had afew ipods they broke so i got rid of them got a zune got stolen went back to Creative and have had mine for years. Creative ZEN V Plus. Creative is better
i bought the zen vplus about a year ago. it keep freezing up from up at me from time to time. I don't use it any more. but I'm planning to buy a SanDisk Sansa Fuze. :)
Well I'm a Zen user V Plus. It only works with certain medias like windows media player. It pisses me off when it freezes on me. It has great life battery and decent memory for price. But it has bugs and guys if you don't know this. Gadgets like the Zune/Zen/Ipod/etc. Well you shouldn't drain the battery all the way. Just charge it when it's battery is nearly gone. Since what I've heard from experts is that if you charge at 50% battery or when its battery is dead. Battery life will go down.
This item SUCKS!!! I have purchased two of them and have been disappointed at how easily the on/off button breaks!! Buy a ZUNE much better, easier and all around better product...ZENS were returned and the company then sent my replacement to an address in Buffalo, NY when I live in FL!!! Horrible product!
Believe me, the creative zen has way more problems than an ipod, I have a zen v plus and an ipod touch. The screen gets scratched, the zen freezes.. alot and whenever i want to add new music the windows explorer freezes
just hope you didn't get a f@#king zen cause they suck. I never drop mine or abused it and it won't charge no more and my pc will only sync with it whenever the POS feels like it. Zen Sucks. Get a Zune, I think. I use my centro anyway. Centros kick ass.
use the psp for wifi and buy a new creative zen (no surname) they go up to 32 gb and are a little bigger than the new ipod nano 3g but have the same size screen as the ipod vide but with 16.7 million colors (instead 0f 65k)
I got Creative Zen V Plus 4GB for 39.99 from Wal Mart. It was "As is". It was the display model. I like it a lot and so does everyone I show it to. You can put videos and music on it. I holds approx 1000 songs.
go get Creative 1GB Muzo V100 MP3 Play or Creative 2GB Muzo V100 MP3 Player.the different is i 1 GB and the other is 2 GB.I have the Creative 1GB Muzo V100 MP3 Player
listen i dont want to argue if i spend a 100 dollars on something i want it to last. im not gonna throw it im not going to not take care of it so just leave me alone i take of stuff okay???????
Sell UR PSP, and get the 8 gig V Plus. I've got the 4 gig V Plus, and it's the shit haha. But the only downfall is that I didn't get the Xtra 4 gigs. U mentioned the Vision:M, and I know plenty buds who has one, and not one o them has had a breakdown etc, whereas the V Plus is reknowned for freezin'. In my opinion, then sell UR PSP and get either a 4 gig V Plus or Vision:M. Lemme know if i was any help.
Candygurl, I'm in the same dilemma as you. I have an old iRiver IFP-790 250Mb which still kicks @ss, but I want something with more memory now. The Zen V Plus 8GB and Sandisk Sansa 8GB distorts the bass...the iPODs are a ripoff with no custom EQ and no radio..I'm looking at iRiver Clix right now...problem is, they're hard to find in stores....but you can see them at the iRiver site. iRiver makes excellent sounding MP3 players.
Reihaank, I did exactly that....I played with the customizable EQ. The overall sound design of the Zen V Plus is lacking when the user increases low end frequencies. Distortion occurs even when the volume is low. Play something with a lot of low frequency like Enya for instance and you'll see what I mean. I even tried the "New Age" preset and it sounded terrible!! Too much distortion. The sound just isn't rich nor full for a digital player.
The "smart sound" function has nothing to do with the overall sound quality. It's used mainly for volume control so that when you're listening to the different MP3s, one won't be louder than the other...they all stay at the same volume level. I'm looking right now at Cowon and iRiver MP3 players, they're the best sound quality out there right now. Creative, iPOD, Sandisk are not worth it if you want good sound.
Listen man, I HAVE an old iRiver IFP-790 (250 Megs memory)....and it sounds a heck of alot BETTER and louder than the Creative Zen V Plus (I bought the damned thing to try out even).....awesome sound, my foot. Even tried the Sansa 8Gig (which was even worse sounding). Cheaper is not always better though....you get what you pay for. Cheap price cheap quality sound.
I did try the custom EQ (read one of my previous posts here)....the sound output does NOT sound full.....it remains "tinny". Even raising the bass.....the sound is not rich at all.....it only results in distortion. Perhaps Creative will fix this in their new realease?? Who knows. I'll probably buy something else like the Cowon D2 or their iAudio 7 (16 Gigs!! And the sound specifications look impressive).
Crammage...it's not my earphones. I have a good pair of old Sony HD490s and a pair of Shure E2Cs. The sound on the headphones sound great on my mixer (I make music), my PC amp, my iRiver mp3 player, etc. The problem is with the Creative device, it just doesn't offer rich sound, even WITH manual equalization.
I am 12 years old and i have a zen v plus.Actually it's my big brother's zen v plus and i have a PSP also so my big Brother is deciding to sell a zen v plus and buy a ipod nano.Would u like to have or not.First of all u ask to my brother that if he sell's it or not
you know you can stop talking and stop rambling on about the same thing. your lips were about to fly off they were so tired of repeating the same thing. you exagerated too much too.
sell your psp games and psp. Then buy a zen and you'll have some money left over to get say a DS if your a gamer. Or you'll just have an extra hundred dollars to get whatever.
yes you speak the truth. psps SUCK! i traded mine in and got a ds. it's a great move trust me. the games have more to them and are harder to beat. plus you don't have to wait for the games to load. screw psp
I couldnt decide between the ipod nano and the creative zen plus, what swung it for me is that I have a lot of tapes which I began recording onto my Pc, but it was taking for ever, so I bought a 4GB zen, now I can record from my walkman onto the zen as Im going about my day, then edit the tracks down when I get home.
(im not being cheap, lots of my tapes are rare bootlegs or otherwise deleted stuff, so no other way of getting them)
i would get the zen nano plus. its smaller than the zen v and doesnt crash at all. the only downside i would say is the screen its a colorless led screen. however its quite durable and scratch resistant. its also slightly cheaper.
I had the same problem, having a psp which was too large. and i bought a creative zen v +. i bought the 4 gb, it is absoluty amzin, its really cute and gets loads of attention :D and its not as common as the ipod nano. btw the vision m is great, but too big as u said, and u may aswell stick to the psp if u were to buy one of those. go for the creative zen v +, you can get it in pink now, and it looks smart
buy a Creative Zen V Plus. With the PSP,well you dont play much with the games and that is wasting the PSP because thats its main function.Doesnt it feel weird carrying that large PSP.If you get the Creative Zen V Plus you feel better because its real MP3.Ive research this MP3 and Ive noticed it works well.Zen V Plus does more because the Ipod Nano cant play VideoClips or has a FM Radio.buy the Creative V Plus, its more portable, affordable and more reliable than the IPOD NANO
ya, i feel weird carrying the PSP because its so huge and all i want to do is listen to music. All i need to do now is sell my PSP and buy that Zen...
PSP is not worth keeping. The games are mediocre and it's too big to be a quality handheld multi-media machine so I'd recommend doing exactly the same thing I am. Getting the Creative Zen V plus :D
You have a point. With all the features that video game systems are offering nowadays, it's nearly impossible for gamers for decide even which system to buy. Last time I videogamed was Mortal Kombat 3 (1995) for the Super Nintendo. Nowadays the controllers have so many buttons on them, I will have to mutate and grow new fingers just to play the videogames lol! Great blog =D
Thanks! haha, ya, systems these days are so complicated. They all have so many fearures you almost can't call them a game system anymore. And the bad part is that all these features make the prices of the systems go way up.
So true. It's kinda like textbooks they make college students buy for their classes. They package the book together with a CD that pretty much no one has any use for cuz all's it is is a CD-version of the book. Notice the comical use of "all's" haha! I sound so retarded right now :D
lol. hey, we all like shortcuts, "all's" is no exception. Anyways, I agree with everything you said. I really think companies like Sony and Microsoft are complicating things with all these new features. I mean what about all the people who just want a game system? oh well, well it IS the next gen, but still.
if u want the memory stick to hear music on your psp u have to buy the Zen i have just got one and it is completely stunishing and they have and exelent price in amazon. Another advantage is that you can reproduce videos and hear to the radio. Any question ask me using a message. Bless

did you even set the preset on the zen v???
