just like you, i remember watching this game played by a friend at his house and remembering feeling how realstic it felt - exactly because of the idea of one shot being able to kill you
This game is the best! I have the RS cd1, RS cd2: eagle watch, RS: black thorn(my favorite) and all the others that were more realistic than Vegas and the news ones, now the rainbow looks like a superman that don't die for anything while the old one like you said can die with one shot... Great video!
i never knew that this was originally on pc. the ps1 version was one my first action games. but this looks soooooo much better. the planning looks like the best part. prolly the smartest ally ai ive ever seen
Hey, I played this game on Dreamcast and it was about 20-30 fps. Even with modern pc problem is probably (as practice saying mostly) in emulated dx9 on windows7. On XP it would run most probably at max with fraps. W7 sucks hard in all parameters, cept dx10-11. So, just good only in games with dx10-11 support, otherwise - pure junk in terms of speed, advanced interface and battery life. XP still is the king.
I am getting lag through my mouse (Logitech G9) with this game and rouge spear. I turned down the sensitivity ingame but its still not perfect smooth and i get hesitation when aiming ingame, any ideas?
the way to tell if someone is good at the rainbow or ghost recon series is the person will scroll through the team members taking advantage of synergy-
at the end of the game all team members should have nearly an equal number of kills if the person is a skilled player
@Zoneup100 Uninstall the game first. Then put the disc in and right click on it and press explore. Find the file that is called setup.exe. Set that to win95/98 in compatibility mode and then double click on it to install the game. Then when the game is installed play the game on compatibility mode. Should work (it works for me).
The funny thing is this was the 1st game I ever played on my own PC ....
to this day I still use the arrows for movement in all fps games and not awsd.... i had arguments with my friends over it all the time about 'how the game is supposed to be played
I loved that game. Forgot about most of the maps. I bought a new fast PC in 1998 just to play the game after I saw a guy playing it at a computer store. I can't imagine the hundreds of hours I spent playing it.
I used to have this game. My favorite feature was fart mode, especially team fart mode. When your squad moves, they fart, and sometimes, one of your teammates will yell, "Watch your fire!"
OH SNAP, takes me back to my newb days...i too used to play this online on MPLAYER... oh wowww.. i remember that online airport stage was my favorite.. thanks for this flash back... kick ass video. gg.
ahhh i remember playing this im a a fan of these old tom clancy's games =D i got the rainbow six platinum pack edition =D but uhm unfortuantly i got vista and it doesn't work on it XD
This game brings back memories. The Mplayer, with all the different clans they had at the time. LRRP, ah yes. I remember many things. Oil Rig and Mint were one of the most over used level in Multiplayer. It was the time when people bragged about how they had T1 connection at school or wherever. Great time.
will never forget the day I sneaked this game past my controlling mum, got the bus home really exited, booted it up, and played one of the best shooting games ever......video games partially made up for my shitty childhood
if yall are interested in first person shooter computer games. I can show yall how to get Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six (original) don't need the best computer in the world to play this game. Can show yall how to get the full game + patches. New anticheat patch is now out. im me on aim. (BrutalDemeth)
I can't stand stealth games I like some of them like Hitman or Manhunt but i dont like tom clancy stealth games I just find them way too frustrating When I play a game I want to feel powerful like a predator which is why im really looking frward to Splinter cell conviction
i dont understand.....so you dont like tom clancy stealth games, but you cant wait for splinter cell conviction (which is also a tom clancy strategy game)???????
But Splinter Cell Conviction doesn't look like it will be like other tom clancy stealth games. In Conviction you don't just sneak around and you get caught and thats it the mission is over like in the other splinter cell games. In this one you are a predator hunting your enemies the mark and execute looks really cool. They are taking the stealth action genre to a different level. It doesn't look like a typical stealth game at all. It looks new and fresh thats why im looking forward to it
to tell you the truth.....i do also agree......never a fan of prevous splinter cell( except for online mode) hated the mission over thing aswell as enemy respawns
wen i was younger my dad used 2 play this on his laptop and i wud watch him play and i wub b in charge of watching the map 4 enemies rounds the corner! LOL
And I'm a hugh Medal of honor fan :) have all classic MOH: Allied Assault, still play it online some. Alot of people don't know, but all the yesterday games still have many dedicated servers up and running and people still play them online.
I have all the classic Rainbow Six games :) up to Rainbow Six 3 Athena Sword. And Ghost Recon and Both expansion packs, and all the Battlefield series games, bf:1942, bf:vietnam, bf:2. I think I have a total of 60 pc games, mostly yesterday games, but I'm still on a yesterday dell 8200, 2001 model so.
I played the N64 version for the 1st level, but this looks better. This game fits my personality, I'm more into stealth rather than run and gun. Even games like DOOM I always played pretty slow.
@moderndude1234 I'm pretty sure you do. Not sure about online I think it had it's own service but it might not even be around anymore. Never played it online just on LAN back in the day.
@MN12BIRD Yes you need to have R6 installed to play Eagle Watch, online included. I used to ladder play R6 back in the day ^_^ Good memories. First on MPlayer, then on Gamespy and MSN Zone. For any of you that recognize these teams, some clans I was a part of: G|2Z (Grim Raperz), TBBH (The Blitzing Blood Hounds), **TOP** (Temple of Pain), GMA (forget what it stood for), and many many more. Anyone out there used to play R6 online too that can share some memories?
@GrugNorg just for reference if you havent figured out yet. The only way you can do it w/in microsoft way is upgrading to windows 7 professional which has a windows XP emulator
