@dtbow24 Apparently, regular language is stored in a different part of the brain to swearing, which is stored in a simpler part of the brain. For some reason, swear words are classified as noises, and not words, and for that reason, people with severe speech disabilities (after a stroke etc.) can often have no trouble swearing. Similarly, tourettes probably affects the area of the brain associated with swearing, and none of the areas associated with normal language.
