It is always fascinating to hear older people talk about their memories and experiences in life. In addition, Mr. Fitch seems like such a gentleman. Thank you very much for sharing!

Fitch dedicated himself to improving track and road safety after the disaster. Those water filled barrels in front of dividers are called Fitch barrels. He has undoubtedly saved some lives.

Good to get the full story of Mercedes Benz's withdrawal from the race and his role in it. The race wasn't exactly in the bag, though. Observers saw signs that the Mercs' brakes were weakening during the night, and their lead was shrinking.
