This is A) Why live prey is dangerous and B) Is insane to put such a large prey item in with the snake. Keep the prey's girth to that of the snake's unfed girth, and you should be mostly fine, even if you do live feed (Which you shouldn't. It's mean to both animals, because they are not in a natural environment, and it's cheaper/easier to keep frozen rats stocked up. Do a google for frozen rats. They are much cheaper, and easier to keep for whenever feeding time is.

@xejzx Dude, at 2:33 you can see the rat sink its teeth into a nice hunk of snake flesh. By 2:36, the snake has wrapped another coil AROUND THE RAT's HEAD (wrong move, to be sure). The guy did what we all would do: he put the camera down and fixed the situation. You may not like his style (if indeed he did that deliberately to the rat) but we all gotta hand it to him for addressing the situation as quickly as he did.
