  • great stuff,ur right 2days music total crap,

  • We had so many happy days,, If only we could do it all again.

I feel so Sorry for the young one's of today.

  • 50's, 60's, and the 70's is where music played with instruments really bloomed. today its all auto-tune and done through a computer, half the people that sing you listen to cannot even sing live. The industry is a joke.

  • @ryfaceply You got that right,bro!

  • @lrd9999. It's a bit of Prince Buster's 007, parodied to be 0000!

  • From where did they get WOOO; they sound like eastern US call letters. Was that from growing up in Jamaica? Or maybe a pirate station aimed at the UK?

PS: Should "rocksteady" also be a tag for this? I thought that was the term for the transition from ska to reggae.

  • Tune!!- 5*!.

  • love the sample ..........Special Ed, "I am the Magnificent"

  • sad,,,,,but todays music is crap.....

  • indeed! 2k music sucks dirty butthole and MTV doesn't play videos anymore

  • i think i still have this single in the loft and im sure it's 1969 when i bought it

  • @tigermoth13 That is bizarre ! because I always think of '69, but another comment says '71. So maybe my head isn't as faded-out as I had thought - or maybe it is!

  • i've been trying to find this song for forty years - didn't know the artist or title - was starting to think i was nuts. thanks so much for posting.

  • Dave Barker (born David John Crooks, 10 October 1947 in Kingston, Jamaica) is a session vocalist[1], and Ansell Collins (born 1949, also in Kingston) is a keyboard player.[2] They were working for producer Lee "Scratch" Perry in Kingston in the late 1960s, and joined forces in 1971, for the ska single "Double Barrel". Released by Techniques Records, part of the Trojan Records label, it topped the Jamaican and UK charts in March of that year.[

  • I thought that I had dreamed up this song, it was on my mind since 1971.( I was turning 18 )

I only heard it for about a week in Los Angeles radio in the spring of that year, as I drove back and forth to Manhattan Beach and Hermosa Beach from Huntington Park

in those classic surfer days....GREAT memories......I thought I would never hear this again, especially at age 54... Incredible what the internet can acomplish...Sierra Cuban, Miami, Florida

  • @mrfundah

    ME TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @mrfundah Lol Same Here, This Track Is Cheeeezzzeee :D <3 Itt

  • cant believe i could find this, thankyou

  • A fine example of reggae rhythm and pioneering rap lyrical styling. This brings back 1971 memories of listening to the radio while driving down some lonesome, two-lane, state highway with the setting sun flickering through the trees.

  • Oh my God, I haven't heard this since 1968, when I bought the vinyl record album of this.

Lost it years ago. What fun to hear it 40 years later

    Thanks a million.

  • Too much, I like it!!

  • I remembered this song (Title) since it came out back in the 70's, thanks to the internet I have found it once again. That is over 35 years of remembering a song title from hearing only once on AM radio on a Saturday morning with Kasey Kasem top 20 countdown.

  • at last , good sound repro .
