Why would anyone want to watch this? It was NOTHING like the Terminator. It was like a ripoff of the original films. Crappy cast, no plot, bad writing, crapppy dialog, SO unlike what James Cameron would make. just a waste of good money. It's SO unlike the 80s and 90s. Go watch the REAL film everyone! And educate yourselves about what it means to be a good writer. The original terminator films (Except 3 and 4 for which they SUCK) were GOLDEN for it's time of the 80s and 90s. of action films.

I watched the pilot of Lie to Me and I think it was decent but wasn't interesting to me after seeing the promos for the series that I thought it would be. I really like this series, The Sarah Connor Chronicles. It is that best sequel to the TERMINATOR Movies, so to speak the time that it aired. But it is also a great tv series by itself and it's much interesting this way. This Show is better.

One of the big problems T3 ran into was abolishing the emmotion that Cameron so brilliantly captured in the 1st 2 films & focusing more on unnecessary humor. Ex(The Terminator) Love Story between Sarah & Reese (T2) Father-like relationship between Arnold & John. At the end of T2 John was in tears when the machine that saved him was lowered into the steel, yet in T3 Arnold chokes him in the cemetary parlor, Stahl puts a gun to his head & threatens to kill himself, I hated that. It was all wrong

Its a different terminator, and hes not the ten year old kid anymore, hes old enough to understand the weight of the future and judgement day. i thought it was fitted because he was under the assumption judgement day was averted but not entirley sure, and since the terminator came back in his life, he's not willing to accept his destiney anymore, but in the end, he has no choice because judgement day is inevitable.

The tv show is awesome because of the constant plot twists and cleverness. The 3rd movie isn't even worth mentioning, it was just a dumb typical action movie. I mean lets be realistic, eventually the FBI would have found John Connor, as he would be leaving fingerprints everywhere.

The 3rd movie deserves to be ignored because it's a pile of shit made by people who had nothing to do with the original films, at least the show has some of the original producers on board which is why the shows turned out to be decent and done the fans justice. T1 and T2 are the best, the show is pretty good, T3 is a pile of shit which should never have been made.

actually. if you look it up you'd know that the same people who made T3 are making Chronicles. That's the reason why the show is nothing like the first two movies. Only a couple of producers are the same which means nothing. producers don't do anything except pour their money into a project to make more money later on. James Cameron is gone, Arnold and Linda are gone. it's just not the same.

Yes, I admit I was wrong about the producers. Though I still stand by my original stance, The show has a feel which is more in line with T1 and especially T2, and I still maintain that T3 is the worst thing about the Terminator franchise (excluding the games). And whilst MOST producers do nothing but pour money into films, not all fit that profile. Some do have creative input (think Stephen Spielberg and George Lucas), and I'm sure Mario Kassar had some say in the direction of the show.

I would much rather it succeed but i'm very skeptical after watching up until the part where they have to change their identities at the end of the second episode. If this show were it's own separate entity it might do okay, but i think the first two Terminators set the bar too high for Chronicles and it's too hard for many to not constantly think, "but it's not as good as T2"

You know, I actually I agree with you for the most part, especially about S.Connor. However, whilst Edward Furlong is THE definitive John Connor IMHO, the Dakker kid in SCC is still a hell of a lot better then that pussy Nick Stahl. As for the T-1000, as I understand it, they were only prototypes and I think only two were ever made, one of which was got sent back in time. I've only seen up to Episode 7, but the best I've seen so far is Ep 6 - "Dungeons & Dragons", the best so far IMHO

I never said Furlong wasnt the best John Conner. He IS John Conner, I wish he played him in all the movies. One interesting point you might find interesting however, is that James Cameron was about to fire Furlong from the cast after he couldnt deleiver a few lines out of being nervous. JC was gonna fire him until Furlongs agent convinced him to give him another shot. I still think Nick Stahl is better then the kid from the TV show though.

that's exactly what Chronicles is about. It's nothing like the first two movies. It's about beautiful people making a brilliant concept into a generic storyline. Somebody decided that the masses need a weekly fix of the Terminator. Whether it's good or not doesn't matter as long as they make money.

Yeah, seriously. The Terminator is no longer unique. The series is trying to milk the uniqueness of time traveling cyborgs without adding anything new or interesting. Instead it strives to make The Terminator like any other low budget primetime show.

Nice work. I like the feel that the Battlestar Galactica music gives to the opening sequence. But I think you dragged out the end too far, the music repeats too many times. Overall this is a surprisingly good show, worthy of the movies' legacy and worth watching.
