not a bad video, just please turn the music down. You sound like there's someone in your house that says you shouldn't have lunix...
For the programs, I'll use google. Shame some people didn't think of that rather than moaning and complaining. When I find the links, I'll PM them to you so you can copy and paste into the video description.
Yo sm... In the video you said you were gonna post the links of where to get the different files you mentioned, but you didn't put it anywhere on the vid (nor in the video's description)... Can you write here (or message me back) where you got the different files (like, the linsta3 theme thing, etc)? Thanks in advanced!
yep i use windows XP and made that look like vista then i got the newest version of linux openSUSE (11.0) and its realy fun but where do u got to the page where it showes the keyboard shortcuts
Will this also make Linux like Vista and take twenty minutes to boot up and make me scream and tear my hair out? I can't think why anyone would want to utilize a fantastic tool like Compiz Fusion to make Linux look like a lame dog.
1. Actually this is really handy if you want to migrate your home PC without upsetting the family. They see a familiar desktop and they don't feel so intimidated. After they are more comfortable you can show them how to change the theme - they'll love it.
On xpsp2 I have program files\windows media components\encoder\wmenc.exe, its a pain to set up without it whining about something, and there are two broad options: encode now with bad quality or save as uncompressed, but that option burns through disk space. (1Gb/minute)
custom session,sources->video->screen capture,
output->archive/encode to file (only),
compression->edit->video:CBR, full frames(uncompressed), other tab->video size->same as input
yeh, that image hosting site is a bit pants - only lets you download as jpeg, and the image looks really dodgy.
To find the original image, go to bugs(dot)beryl-project(dot)org, click on 'Browse Source', then navigate through 'trunk', 'beryl-plugins' and 'images' and you should see a link to the image there.
Good but why to downgrade your desktop experience like this?

@MariousAlex It's useful for Windows users who want a familiar interface.

lol i triple boot. Xp pro, Mac Osx86, and Ubuntu 8.04. Doesn't run any slower than the day i built the rig.
So i like all the os's. ubuntu is just more free and fun. unless you just use bittorrent for evrything. =P

Hi, two things.
1. Why would I want to make anything look like Vista?
2. Chill on the music.
