The harmonies were always pretty interesting on PF recordings. And they used the 'Wrecking Crew' much of the time- musicians who were always friends with Brian Wilson- who was often approached by musicians in the 70's (Linda Ronstadt et al) to 'sweeten' their recordings. I often wonder if there ever was a BW/PF alliance at any time....
i think Susan Dey wanted to distance herself from being connected to the show(although its what most people still identify her with.... L.A. Law nonwithsatnding)
also Shirley Jones aged really gracefully ..still looked great in those more recent pics.
I remember it being 1978. I was 4 years old. PARTRIDGE FAMILY was on in syndication on UHF & mom had a copy of "Sound Magazine" on record. I got it , played it, destroyed it, found another copy (copies) many years later. I apprecieate it more now then I did then. AWESOME STUFF!!!
David Cassidy and Paul McCartney were the two "prettiest" men of the 70's. Fantastic faces and voices. David Soul another great one of the 70's. Looks and talent.
@meanwiddlekid Just saying that David Cassidy could sing; however, Paul McCartney's song writing ability/talent was near perfection in the 60s and 70s. Oh, of course there's Elton John--another great icon and talent of the 70s. Hope I don't get struck by lightning for mentioning his name........
I was so in Love with David, I used to kiss his picture every night, I think I was 8. I never realised how beautiful Susan was, wow she was really beautiful!! She came to Maine I think maybe 10yrs ago, she came to a small cafe called Kristina's. I just looked at her and I knew it was her. She has the most amazingly haunting eyes I have ever seen. And when she signed the ccslip. She signed it Susan Dey. I almost fell. I didnt want to invade her space so I didnt say anything to her. Susan Pretty!
These songs take so many of us back to a time when we had no clue what he was singing about nor the pain that can come with it and at the same time these same songs can take us back to a place that for some is much better than the place they are now.

did i mentioned susan? no, but now i will. i dont think she was hot. ever. she has a big ugly mouth, an ugly chin, and she always looked stoned in the tv show. this whore.
King Douche - I was adressing your ignorance of 70's music. Who gives a fuck if you like Susan. I'm sorry you can't get any women. You know, there doing face transplants now, look into it.
Well. . . maybe... not the only 13 year old. There can be few your age that like this group and such :) Which is nice. I'm 16 so... you know.. join forces man! lol jk
But yea, It'd be nice to meet other kids our age who take great interest in this group/show. :D
Thanks, you put a lot of work on this one! I feel just like I did when I had a school girl crush on David. My teacher took my Tiger Beat magazine away once in the 4th grade, because I spent storytime staring at David on the cover. She gave it back at the end of class with a lecture. He was worth it.
You know I suufer from depression and I am very sick with bad health. listen to the Partridge FAmily and watch the show and it really takes me back to simpler time the innocent and young 1970-1974.
feel better. anything you can find in this world to make you happy is time well spent. i love the show, the music and what it brings me as well. don't worry. we are in good company! the best to you friend! c'mon get happy!!!

In the opening notes of music in this video, it shows Jeremy Gelwaks, the ORIGINAL "Chris Partridge" of the cast. It should be known that he was such a realistic actor that he was excused from the original cast of this show because backstage he did an impression of a rabid dog, realistically biting David Cassidy's leg to the point of bleeding. He was immediately replaced by Brian Forster. Both are talented and revered by fans everywhere. I thank you for including pics of everyone!
Yikes another song I love from the PF, lol - I am sorry but these songs are timeless! Ahh and David Cassidy, no wonder we all were in such awe. :) I was still so young when they were big I reduced myself to eyeing Danny, lol, but no one could touch Keith's magnetism.
If you're old enough, about the 8th still in of David Cassidy alone, it's absolutely incredible how much he looks like his father, Jack Cassidy-- those cheeks! I liken it to George and Dhani Harrison and John and Julian Lennon. It's uncanny. This is a great song. David brought a lot of joy and a lot of hard work to satisfy his fans and didn't get much in return.
she's tried to seperate herself fromt he partridge family since moving on to LA Law, etc. i don't think she was proud of her work, and she was in love with david cassidy.
Two people would rather have cold, icy wintery days than summer days.
