I agree but past elections prove that the Independent vote paves the way for the other party's to win. There will never be enough people who vote independent to carry a win.

I think we'll see more "Independants" winning in 2010. The Libertarian Party is gaining streangth every year. People are fed up with both "Major" Parties. The "Two Party System" has proved that both are prone to corruption and cronyism. Special Interests are buying votes in BOTH Parties. And I for one am perversely proud that the candidates that I voted for in any Federal race has NEVER won. :)) I did help a few locals get elected tho.

He's my Congressman actually. He's cast some good votes and some bad ones (from an ultra-conservative's perspective). Glad that he is saying what he's saying. He holds a seat that Melissa Harts used to win with a large majority. So yeah, he represents a conservative area. He should cruise to an easy re-election if he votes against this garbage.
