@MrShnartz Yep, kinda, actually it's two controls. The twist grip is the throttle (like a motorcycle) and raising or lowering the "lever" controls the amount of overall lift from the blades. Officially known as the "collective" control.
How is the development of the XET coming? I called Dwight about a year ago hoping to buy one but from my understanding there was still a decent amount of engineering and retrofitting tanking place. It is also near impossible to find any information on the online. We have an R22 and an R44 now, however I would still love to purchase an XET for personal use and commuting back and forth to work.
every mosquito video iv seen so far they seem to be flying around like an old women! these things should be one of the most manouverable choppers out there i would have thought.. id like to see someone put it through its paces properly. like i see the r22's mustering in australia do all the time. "come on boys chop chop!!"
Well who ever you are E Thumper, You obviously don't know dick about the testing phase of an experimental aircraft. There is nothing an R22 can do that this helicopter can't except carry one extra passenger. This helicopter at the time the video was shot had 1.3 hours on it, I know because I was flying it. Do really I think I would be stupid enough to show off like a dumb cowboy with only 1.3 hours on it. Please refrain from making ignorant comments when u have no clue.
Fair enough, I apologise! im just keen to see what they can do and how they hold up after alot of hours. But like you say there (or this one is) in the testing stages, you can just disreguard that comment! I live on a cattle station and iv been a gyro pilot for 5 years, which is a stepping stone for helicpters. The mozzy is highest on my list because its an affordable helicopter that looks robust! Hopefully it is all that. Anyway cowboy i apologise again! keep up the good work! ill be watchen!!
