  • Neville Bros have some great music to listen and give thought too

  • i love your slideshow video! all prisons are horrible but angola especially so. i love mr. aaron neville-he has the voice and heart of an angel!!! thank you so much for posting this!!!!

  • Yes, he was. Long time ago though. And yes, it's tough over there.

  • Was aaron Neville ever in prison? Louisiana is really tough I'd forgotten how tough until watching a that Serving Life on ONW last night, that's what made me listen to this. I've liked this song since 1991

  • THIS IS ABOUT WHITE PEOPLE LOCKIN BLACK MEN UP AT AN ALARMING STEADY RATE SINCE 1500 WORLDWIDE

  • Your "SO" right! My spouse is already in there for 14 years ...

It's our NIGHTMARE. yet coming to an END!

  • @BUCKSHOTBLACK00 Really..statics show that African Americans are more likely to commit crime over any other race. It's sad the ghettos and lifestyle of inner city youth is bad but for some reason they "pride" themselves on being "tugged out, ghetto, etc. I still can't understand why African Americans get so upset at the N word but they call eachother it all the time. This is confussing.

  • Aaron;I have been there and done that too.Angola is NOT a nice place ! Glad GOD Blessed us to be survivors

  • WHO CANNOT JUST LOVE THIS SONG? THE BEST!

  • @deeway1963 It is a depressing song but with an excellent beat.

  • this guy is great Aarons got the soul.

  • Amazing voice

  • I love Aaron Neville. He makes me proud to be from Louisiana!!! Awesome, awesome voice!!!!!

  • Anyone know the song with Aaron and Whitney Houston? Very good song.

  • Love this guy and all of his music.

  • Heard this song live two years ago and it was as good or better than the recording....What a talent!

  • what an excellent song

  • It sure is!

  • There's an old cadence sang in the Louisiana prison system, by prisoners, while working in the field. It was either based off this song, or this song was either based off it. It goes:

Should of seen ol' Henry during sentencing time,

Well, he looked over his shoulder and seen his Baby cryin'

Now he's gotta wake up early, gotta wake up soon,

Gotta eat his chow by the light of the moon,

Now I don't know what you been told,

But them guards at Angola they some natural assholes,

  • They say you come here buckin' then you won't last long,

Oh, you'll wish you was a baby in your Momma's arms,

The Cap'n called the waterboy and the waterboy laughed,

Well, you shoulda seen how the Cap'n whooped that waterboys ass,

Now, I see my Baby, but she don't see me,

Way on yonder by that freeworld tree,

And if you see my Momma give her a hug for me,

I got a LIFEtime sentence and I'll never be free,

Oh if you see my Momma give her a hug for me,

  • I got a LIFEtime sentence and Lord I'll NEVER BE FREEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
