well thanks for taking a look, yes we enjoyed our night out , it was very spooky standing in the dark waiting for the trains to come ,the night owls did not help. But we were invited into the signal box at Highley, and up on the footplate by the lady fire women, at Bewdley station. So be brave and do it while you can.
I have just watched your film, perfection . spent many happy years filming along the line,so knew all your spots, I have just put on the tube a film me and my mate did in sept 1999 at an all night do, Thanks Your welcome to have a look.
Thanks, I've always enjoyed my visits to the SVR down the years, for me it has everything. I'll check your video out, I must try to stay awake one of these years to do some night filming there
Cracking video again Austin,I am back again had some trouble with the pc,i tried to install a new graphics card, and when i did,it took out all the windows,so i have had to have it all put in again, bloody nightmare it was too.....John
The SVR is very lucky in being able to assemble complete sets of LMS and GWR stock to go with the right engines. Truro seemed to have its work cut out in that clip.
Agree about the stock, it does add to the general atmosphere. I'm not sure whether Truro was struggling or whether the crew was just taking it easy on the curve and a
1 in 100 gradient. Manston did the same on Saturday at that location
Hi Austin, some nice footage there. I enjoyed the Manors crossing the viaduct at Bewdley, having thought initially you had made the wrong choice because of the restrictions placed upon them there. It was a good day to do the more 'covered' locations as your footage proved.
Thanks very much Mike, I believe some guys alongside me waiting for the Manors had arranged a little bit of a show and I had forgotten there would be a restriction so was quite fortunate
Thanks Mike, yes I haven't seen you for ages, first Fellsman I think. The trains certainly seemed to be busy and there were some very good loco performance too.
A superb video Austin despite the bad weather. I must say I was shocked by the poor vegetation clearance at the SVR, in the 40 years I've known it, I don't think I've ever seen it let go to this state. The final departure of the two Manors from Bewdley was my favourite clip...Bob
Thanks Bob, I agree the vegetation seems to be taking over at present, probably down to lack of volunteers to tackle the problem. You should have heard the Manors departure on the Saturday, I was up at the tunnel but the sound from Bewdley was tremendous, better than in this clip. Needless to say they weren't working as hard by the time they reached me!

Great footage Austin, I can be seen with my head out with the double-headed Manors. A great gala & got lots of train mileage over the 3 days.
Thanks for uploading.

Great video Austin. Despite the overcast weather images are of great quality and, as usual, it's very very beautiful. Regards.

Great footage Austin. Seems we managed to avoid each other for 2 days, LOL
A very good line up, and encouraging that Fridays trains seemed to be very busy.
