Why does EVERYONE call this game a God Of War rip off? Why? Don't they understand that Dante's Inferno is simply just another game in the Adventure/Hack and Slash genre? Just because a game has similar gameplay aspects to another game does not mean it's a ''rip off'' of that game. Judging by that logic, CoD and every other first person shooter in existence are rip offs of Doom.

In my opinion this game is average.It's really nothing special, especially compared to God of War 3.If you've played this game and then GOW 3 then you would know that GOW 3 shits on this game.You really have to play GOW 3 in HD to get the full effect and you have to play it more than once because you might not see everything the first time around.

Good review, its defo a rip off of the God Of War franchise and Ninja Gaiden, But its a very good game one that i think was worth buying. If you like that type of game go and buy it if you are a hack and slash fan. I bought it for £15 preowned and i think it was worth every penny.

Well youtube didn't allow me to finish my comment. Anyways, this game is the darkest and most disturbing title out there and those are just a couple of reasons why it stands alone as a great game. I think the true reason why alot of people don't like it is because they can't handle being reminded of their own mortality and the eternal that is ahead of us all. So they do the predictable by comparing it to a massive franchise that has been soaring for years. Go figure.
Man you got to love these silly GoW fanboys all over the place. Get it through your thick skulls people. GoW and DI are both excellent games in their own way. I own GoW 1 and 2 plus dante's inferno. I have a blast playing them all. There is nothing wrong with the combat mechanics. It's your GoW instincts getting in the way. You must learn the control speed and the varying tactics for fighting different enemies.
this review failed to acknowledge the terrible mechanics of the game when it comes to fighting multiple demons at once. a lot of times the game would unfairly leave you defenseless with a gang of creatures by not allowing you to even get back on your feet after being knocked down, resulting in a quick death.

This game had such great potential.
The story line is ok. Nothing special. They could have done much more with it.
Some boss fights are really good and the visuals can be very breathtaking. Every fight feels different.
One thing that I absolutely hated about this game is the camera. The guy reviewing it says that the camera works great. I disagree.
To me, not being able to control my camera whilst travelling through something as visually amazing as the 9 circles of Hell is a great loss.

Well youtube didn't allow me to finish my comment. Anyways, this game is the darkest and most disturbing title out there and those are just a couple of reasons why it stands alone as a great game. I think the true reason why alot of people don't like it is because they can't handle being reminded of their own mortality and the eternal that is ahead of us all. So they do the predictable by comparing it to a massive franchise that has been soaring for years. Go figure.

Man you got to love these silly GoW fanboys all over the place. Get it through your thick skulls people. GoW and DI are both excellent games in their own way. I own GoW 1 and 2 plus dante's inferno. I have a blast playing them all. There is nothing wrong with the combat mechanics. It's your GoW instincts getting in the way. You must learn the control speed and the varying tactics for fighting different enemies.

this review failed to acknowledge the terrible mechanics of the game when it comes to fighting multiple demons at once. a lot of times the game would unfairly leave you defenseless with a gang of creatures by not allowing you to even get back on your feet after being knocked down, resulting in a quick death.

Haha defeating Death reminds me of defeating Zeus in God Of War. I have to get this game because I enjoyed god of war 2 and don't have a ps3 so it's a replacement for god of war 3 :)

It is tough if you don't have a fully powered cross. I actually changed the difficulty to easy for that bit because it's very tough.

its a regular game for 360 players and a regular/bad game for psp hackers.
in 360 i like more darksiders, in psp is chains of Olympus, a regular game from AE, wich is starting to stink. even in fifa 10

Had a ps2, ended up with the 360, now with all the bland fps games coming out all the time, how do i scratch my hack/slash spots that GoW once filled? Dante's Inferno is a great game, a nice change of pace from most fps. (bayonetta and dmc are good too, but not quite the same)
