Complete fail streaks galore i guaranty and its McDonalds i've never seen a quality at any Mc D"s ever and trust me after 13 years of professional high rise i pay attention
he does tap the top of the window. he just moves really fast. and leaves all kinds of streaks im guessing. but this is a commercial building and you can get away with a lot more than at a house. i work with one other guy and we pull in over 3000 a week, he does residential i do all the commercial. like kylestephen said its nice to have commercial in the winter when residential comes to a stop.
yeah, First of all, a well skilled window cleaner doesn't touch the top of the frame with the mop, they come just below it to eliminate the chance of residual drips coming down later. But, since he went ahead and soaked the top of the top window frames, he should have detailed them w/ a blue towel. Also, he probably dragged water down from the top as he didn't tap the excess water off his squeegee before pulling again. Tisk Tisk.
your not going to make your money at commercial as most window cleaners know, the money is in the residential...
So with that said, you want to move fast like this guy... anyone can go to home depot and buy a bucket and a sqeegue and they can clean commercial... but a true window cleaner does residential
Commercial accounts always go for the cheapest guy... they dont care about sqeegue marks etc.. they have a business to run and window cleaning is not their priority..
BLAH BLAH BLAH i only work 3 hours a day five days a week doing just commercial windows all my customers are very happy with my work.not lost 1 picking up work all the time and you say theres no money in commercial 600.00GBP per week whats that $900 to $1000 a week say no more
I have both commercial and residential. I have a 2 man fulltime crew also. We work year-round in the north kansas city area. The money I make in one week of regular commercial accounts, I make the same in doing 5-6 hours of residential. High income households = money in the bank. i keep my commercial so I have something to do in the winter months. I make enough on residential yearly to take december to febuary off.
Kyle-Man I know commercial cleaners(hirise)that if you put them in a house they would slop everywhere and leave the place a mess, not to mention no detailing, also I know guys that only have done houses and they couldn't for the life in them figureout a commercial account and they would treat it like a house job and or they hate the work. Both groups think their line is better then the other but each has trouble doing the others.A cleaner needs to be well rounded multi-faceted.
Sure both clean windows and therefore can be called window cleaners,A Journymen can do it all with no problems and well! From hirise to low-end houses to hi-end house and never miss a beat and make money doing it all.I did a commercial job the other day and made 2300 and I did it in 2.5 days thats over 900 a day,you can't piss at that!I also do houses and can average 600 a day 1 man which is not chump change.Making money is a good, good thing,But knowing your craft fully makes yoos a Journeymen!
I agree with you man, they opened a new buffalo wild wings in my area this month and I got $450 for the window cleanup from the construction. Took two of us a little over 2 hours to complete. There is great money in both fields.. but a lot of window cleaners make the mistake and pass on residential. I have talked to several and its like they are afriad of the unknown of going into peoples homes. bottom line is this... commercial is cheap and has a lot of competition.. residential is the opposite
ik his tops r crying like a baby he needs to slow down up there cause he left butcher marks too..but ur ground work was really gud u made really nice cuts and most importantly U WIPED UR EDGES!!

agree funky top but look at the for lease sign, our man just chose any spot.
just don't do that to a kitchen window looking out on that 500k land scape, pool and tennis court.
or in some cases that bank of 12ft windows overlooking that koi pond.
or one of those mtv cribs!

I tend to agree with Cal. Lol, no close up shots of the windows eh ? :)
still, pretty good demo, focused on speed and movement rather than quality I would say :)
