  • this happens to me everytime? I had my thyroid removed and the parathyroids went along for the ride, I take 4000mgs of calcium a day and 50k iud's of vitamin D twice a week and still have muscle spasms on a daily. I thank god for medical marijuana!

  • @Fadey420 , Are you taking calcitriol 0.025 daily? That should help.

    Usual Adult Dose for Hypoparathyroidism

    Initial dose: 0.25 mcg orally once a day in the morning.

    Maintenance dose: May increase by 0.25 mcg/dose at 2 to 4 week intervals. Most patients respond to 0.25 to 2 mcg once a day.

  • this happened to me! I felt week and took my blood pressure at a machine in a drug store. I flipped out and drove myself to the ER. It saved my life. The dr knew right away what I explained with my hand . I was treated with ivs. one thing...Trausseau's more bout calcium, but if it comes to pottasium oral is better!! I.V. Potassium burns like battery acid!!!!!!!!

  • @matc8298 yeah me too...trousseau's sign and chvostek's sign appear only in theory, and i never got the chance to see it for real...i only get to see it in youtube.
