@Kaitilyn122 I'm sorry I accidentally deleted my original comment...but I believe I asked you why you felt that way...and mentioned the emptiness the world offers us...Really, I do appreciate your honest answers here.
@StrumstickJoe The world leaves us empty, longing, and thirsty every time. Until we drink from the Well of Living Water, we don't realize how desperate and searching we truly are. Nothing else will ever satisfy...
@Kaitilyn122 2) …You must now grovel on your imaginary knees for eternity, for there is a hugely insecure deity “there” who demands that worship as he demands your love.
@StrumstickJoe Wow, I'm sorry that your perception is so warped. I don't think I can really do anything for you, but ask you to open your heart to His Love and Truth. Your view is so cynical. So devoid of hope. Sure, you might claim your a realist...but are you missing out on so much. Grovel on my knees? I praise and worship His Name not because I have to, but because it is the very cry of my heart.
@StrumstickJoe I do want to thank you. First of all, for trying to remain respectful. Second of all, I want to thank you for reminding me of all of this. I pray that you may know it too...that you may know His Love, Hope, Understanding, Compassion, and Grace. That you may know and hope in the Promises we have in Him. I have seen so much tragedy recently, and it has torn me apart inside and revealed to me the weight and depth and pain of living in this broken world.
@Kaitilyn122 But no matter what: God is GOOD. He has shown that to me over and over again. He has shown me His faithfulness time and time again. He has shown me His Love, Grace, and Mercy in all things. I don't know if you'll go ahead and call me delusional...but His Love is real, more real and true than anything. And singing His praises for all Eternity, discovering all that I am and all I was created to be, seeing my departed loved ones once more...and being in His Presence. That is Heaven.
@Kaitilyn122 1) You enter a situation where there is no sense of sight, touch, taste, smell or hearing; there is no sense of place, balance, justice or distance, nor any physical brain; where there are no smiles or disappointments, no names or faces. There is no light or night; clouds or grass; discussion, opinions or memories…
@StrumstickJoe Dude...where did you get that picture of Heaven? Honestly? Did you not even listen to what this man was saying? I am guessing scripture has no authority in your life, but I assure you, it is filled with the most beautiful promises of Heaven. The is sight, touch, smell, and hearing; more vivid and beautiful and pristine than ever. There is indeed place, balance, distance, and Perfect Justice.
I was being ironic about the eden story. Nobody with any sense of reality should believe that now (even within the asinine constructions of the jewish mythology, it is known to be an allegory of a dude being thrown out of the temple on the mount )
I appreciate your thoughtful post, which contains too much for me to answer point by point; I am writing a novel, which needs my time.
I have only a wish to end the foolishness, but you are besotted.
@StrumstickJoe There is a depth of awareness, consciousness, and reality that is more true and deep and vivid and beautiful than ever before. We have an Eternal Purpose, that not only gives meaning to our lives here in the present, but truly, for all Eternity. Ha, read Revelation! Read the Bible! There is light, there is grass, there is laughter, singing, opinions, memories, loved ones, and the Joy! Unspeakable Joy!
@Kaitilyn122 The speaker in this video mentions some of the books he has read by Randy Alcorn...I would encourage you, if you would be open to it, to read one of his books simply titled: Heaven
It is incredible eye-opening, heart-stirring, beautiful, and exciting. :)
@Kaitilyn122 The worst offence you may commit against yourself is to accept an unwarranted guilt.
It is, I would add, an insult to share that unwarranted guilt among your fellows.
The world leaves us empty - you're right there! 22,000 children under five will die in the agony of starvation in the next 24 hours - guilty of original sin, presumably, and paying the price for... what?
A woman eating a damn apple after hearing a snake talk?
@StrumstickJoe No...please don't put it into such crass and asinine terms. I know, there is so much pain, sorrow, illness, disease, famine, and darkness in this world. It's hard to understand, right? If there's a God who loves us, then why? Why all of this heartache? What happened in the Garden, was not just the eating of an apple, but the breaking of a relationship. It broke our relationship with God, and instead of Him reigning in our hearts, we place ourselves on the throne.
And so this brokenness remains. It ravages our souls and this world. Our rebellion continues, and creation rebels against us, as well. We were supposed to be it's caretaker. It's hard to comprehend the reality of sin. Our hearts are so hardened to it, and our flesh is so weak. Our sin separates us from Him. We can not earn salvation on our own. That's why He sent His Son. So that we might have life, and have it abundantly. He paid the price. And He IS coming, to make all thing NEW.
@StrumstickJoe How can you gamble with the most crucial thing, Your eternal destination.
Hell is very real & horrible. God is totally removed from hell so there is no life, love or light. There is only never ending torment, evil & pain beyond our every earthly imaginations
Please accept & believe on Jesus Christ as your Lord & Saviour! Please choose Jesus. He is waiting for you. He has prepared a wonderful amazing awesome marvelous beautiful Heavenly home for his children. Jesus loves you!!
Heaven would be hell.
Good thing there's no such place as either of those sadistic inventions.
One life, live it - and leave the world better than you found it if you can.
Then go.

Is that where you want to be?
If it existed it would be pure hell.
Peace on earth to you.
