Why should you? War is a War, nobody wins. The Fog of War affects all the armies regardless of their size, religion or ethnic background. War is always nothing short from a multi-national disaster which, unfortunately, always falls heavy on the civilians. I give credit to the former USSR army for their ability to cope with new tactics. I salute all of the WWII veterans; We are all pawns on the checkboard when the politics have driven themselves into a dead-end street.

@Mihey1978 I have always hated the russian's after this, and i mean HATED them. They almost killed my great grandfather with a grenade, and burned and bombeb my familes houses. This is the first time i have ever seen a russian feel sorry/ashamed for what they did, and i am happy to see it, i never tought they cared about it...

@Mihey1978 No reason - Finland was not invaded by Russia but by USSR; Neither Stalin nor Berija were Russians. But it would help if Russians would not call the captured areas, from where everyone left (also ethnic Russians) as "sacred Russian soil" or talk about the "liberation of the old Russian town of Viborg" whose inhabitants (also Russians) fought against the "liberation" and left when it happened.

My grand-grand father was fighting in finnish war, he was shot in the left hend, and returned home with injury. Then the WW2 started and he was taken to fight again, and he was lost somewhere during the war, nobody find him. My grandmother say she thinks he was captured by germans and died in kontslager.

No i dont think so, The Sagas clearly states that Finns was on their own. There were some Swedish settlements alond the western part of the Finnish coast, But the Finns were not a part of the Swedes.

What are you two talking about for chrissake! There was Germanic influence in what is today Finland and the Finnish people long before Swedish settlement and before we became (gradually) a part of what became to be (gradually) a Swedish state (regnum). Genetics and linguistics prove this evidently.
