im doin 2 15" L7 in an 04' grand prix gt this weekend, but first I am gonna sound deaden the whole thing, all that vibration really eats up alot of spl and also affects the sound quality. i'll be using a kicker ZX1000.1 at 2ohm mono. should hit hard. cant wait, I miss da boom boom ..havent had a system in a while..
yo shout out to you on this man thats hot... i am seriously looking at 2 15" L7s in a custom ported box and running 2 BRUTUS BXI1610s in a 4 dor vw golf what do you think?
ok you seem to know alot about the L7's cause yours really slam and you havent blown em im about to grab my boys used 06 12" l7's any tips on what to do what not to do with em? i.e ported, sealed, what amp ?
thats not bad at all man ...very nice system man..every try any sleeper songs like in the air tonight by phil collins i have the right bass boosted one and comfortablely numb by pink flyod properly bass boosted 2 ..people laugh at the start lol try them out if u interested pm me
LMFAO my rear wiper did that when i drove down the road hahah talk about weak i didnt see any flex get something decent besides them shitty ass L7's.... waste of money...
L7 12 are 750 rms. I would run a ZX750 per or if your box is perfect you can do a ZX1000.1 and be ok because they are a bit under rated. Esspesially the 08s they have more cooling features. the rockford P1000 i would do before the hifonics amp unless money is an issue. Although hifonics does do the rms they state it is not clean power.
Nah i would do the Kicker ZX1000.1 to keep it the same and price and peformance are pretty close. either would be good. 12s IMO are the best sub for daily use. They play the low bass good and still punch very well. 15s are more a low bass sub With the space you have 2 12" L7 would be my choice for you. Kicker sqaures need air space. You need about 4.5-6cube to do a L7 15 justice and they need more power. If you do 2 12 l7s i would do a ZX1500.1 on the pair or a ZX750.1 per.
If you are going to run a one sub system and dont intend to add another sub I would do the L7 15 and a ZX1000.1 or the P1000. But if you are wanting to upgrade later on I would do the 12 because you can fit a second of those with the correct airspace to make them play well. 2 15s would be tight to get on there with the airspace they need to play like they should.
I brroke the 151db mark today :) Think i am going to try a 6 cube per box with removable ports so i can have listening tune and SPL. Saw some where you were thinking of building a box? Good luck. If you need any help let me know.
Damn thats a pretty sick number. Yeah man..I wanna build a new box but I am not sure of the design.the box I have now is L-shaped but I was wondering if there was a more efficient design for my port?
im taking that as you had to fold the port on the back wall to get your tune to 33 Hrz? Folding a port doesnt effect the anything much. Just lets you get a longer port when you have a shallow depth to the box. Kicker subs need air space to be loud. The bigger the louder. I went 4.5 per and 50 Hrz tune just for a good balace between listening and so it will still pull good numbers. 6 cube per will give you the best results for going loud and shaking the ground. What space do you have to work?

What.. you thing people are going to go around bumping 150 all day everyday?
xxxflippykidxxx 3 years ago
If two Kicker L7's are hitting in the 150s, it's a spl setup, not a daily driver setup. You're a fucking retard.

first of all what music do you listen too the most. Second what kind of space do you have to work with?
JaREEDeffect 3 years ago
i listen to rap.....i hav a 01 monte carlo so space is ok
so for tha l7 12 ull recommend fosgate p1000 instead of zx1000
