  • i hunt caswell co. where they run em!! i fukn hate it during the rut! although ive had em run some helluva bucks to me and missed a couple myself!! but southern guilford co. is my other spot!! theres a lot more bigger bucks in nc than alot o ppl think!! and is still getting better!! nice vid!!

  • all of yal talkin junk about dog hunting......the only reason he saw those bucks were because of the dogs. If he knew how to shoot he'd of killed a decent buck because of dog hunting.

  • Sorry ass redneck in carolina we put em down with one shot and wear orange like we're supposed to. Tighten up. Nice doe hunt by the way. "carolina style" what a damn joke.

  • yea here in carolina we do have alot of dog hunters, and ima still hunter like these guys. i feel ur pain @siklr.

  • fuckin dog hunters. Run their dogs on our land during the middle of the day, and still hunt their own in the mornings and afternoons.

  • Dooo whaaatttt???sell your huntin stuff and get a boat????

  • @deerslyr3006 shit brother im home on leave in roxboro been in the stand everyday and aint seen a thing

  • Fishing anyone???lol

  • Those dogs are lucky they aren't in Washington. Everybody I know shoots dogs for chasing deer. Nice buck, though.

  • fenced in with dogs, kill yourself

  • i hunt in Alleghany NC and we got deer like that everywhere

  • dog hunting is for lazy pussys do your own work

and where is the orange at???

  • buckfever lol. happens to the best of us. including me

  • I think you did indeed clip him though, you can see his hair flip.

  • Around these parts of NC we wear our blaze orange hats in the tree too. Game warden says so! NorthHampton and Halifax County.

  • dang that has to suck... i hunt in wilkesboro north carolina

  • i would cry

  • Can yall hunt with dogs???? We got some rednecks here in TX that uses em and I shoot any dog I see when Im in my stand....That fixes the problem!!

  • @sierra22tx Here in Al you would get killed doing something like that, In case you didn't understand the dogs are what brought the buck to these still hunters.

  • @sierra22tx lol hell yea. I shootem to bro

  • dang man that sucks you guys actually are hunting close to us, we hunt close to leasburg which is really close to roxboro.

  • SHIT HAPPENS.......WHAT CALIBER YA GOT THERE ? I SHOOT .270 HERE IN MISSOURI, ARE THOSE YOUR DOGS OR .....?

  • nice how the guy tries to think up excuses why he missed. most of the stuff he said after the shot didnt make sense. if your not confident in the shot dont take it or perhaps sight your gun in before you try to hunt with it.

  • ida had to a cut down on dem dawgs to. damn nice buck.

  • @briargoatkilla Because of them "dem dawgs" are the only reason he got a shot da.

  • I agree with the nothing worse than missing a deer early and still having another hour of daylight but something could happen.

  • man its a buck not a freaking mice how can u miss that

  • Hey missing happens to the best of us.If you say you havent missed your lieing.

    Love the vid!

Wish he could've made the shot though.

We have still hunting land around our dog/still hunting club and they kill bucks ahead of our hounds all the time.

  • outdoor expeditions, he said it was going to be his first deer kill on his new camera, not first ever deer kill

  • My question, is if this is goin to be his first deer kill, why the hell did he invest in all the sent lok and shit?????

  • My queston is, why did they have the tree stand in which they were going to shoot from pointed at trees?? It really wasn't even aimed at the field. Anyway cool vid

  • who care's wether they had on orange or not!!!!! id drilled that buck...people make it too difficult on them selves when shooting at a running deer...i have 14 deer dogs and i run em every day of the rifle season in nc where i stay...shooting a running deer across a wide open field= piece of cake

  • damn what a deer..............make yourself sick.lol

  • lol you need to get you a pack of dogs my man was grinning from ear to ear when the dogs got close

  • has anyone else noticed these guys are breaking the law...I see no orange hats

  • sometimes on private land you dont have to have orange and stuff like that.

  • YES YOU DO! I live in North Carolina! And I hunt in person county....look it up on NCWRC website....Under Deer Hunting General regulations...Page 41 of reg. book reads "Any person hunting deer during the firearm season MUST wear hunter orange"

  • well idk about the north carolina laws i live and hunt in georgia but idk. i wear orange unless theres no one at camp or somn like that

  • dude work on your shooting

  • you need a guyided trip in north carolina?

call me get all my contact information by clicking my name

  • Wow.. How do you want to bet he got excited and pulled the trigger instead of sqeezeing it? and sorry for gramatical errors.

  • The video quality is awesome...Iike someone else mentioned it's happened to all of us...Better luck next time..Also it look a lot farther then 250 yards..

  • nice video i saw a nice buck today and as i went to shoot for some reason i missed it happens to every one even the best hunters well keep at it and thxs for the vid.

  • Practice makes perfect. You'll get another shot next season.

  • Nothing is worse than missing a deer and still having another hour of daylight left..... You keep replaying that moment over and over in your head.

  • oh yeh thats a good idea after u miss take another shot from like an extra 100 yards when u miss the first time. then wound him.... now what

  • I didn't know deer eat grass???? J/k man good video

  • Oh man, thanks for sharing the video my man. Really nice. Something about North Carolina bucks that they seem to be graced with some type of protection. They seem to always get away.

    Can't really understand that one.

North Carolina has certainly proved that we can grow some really nice bucks and the two of the three in this video are nice ones. Man i am so sorry that your friend missed such a nice buck.

It has happened to all of us a time or two.

    Chris - Fountain, NC

  • That was a nice buck. That is so typically of deer hunting.

  • the same thing happened to my dad last year

  • where did you hunt?

  • Wow that sucks man you would have never seen bucks without them dog hunters cause they would have never came out in that feild seems like you should start dog hunting maybe next time.

  • GB...Man, You shot before he ran! No excuses!! Buck fever, maybe! The last buck was a bigger one looked like! I hunt Caswell, not too far, looked like East of Roxboro, towards Virgilina....Good video!

  • I sure would like to get a couple of pups off that lead dog.

  • Dang I would hope a still hunter would not shoot someone's hunting dog. These dogs just ran two of the biggest bucks this guy has probably ever seen right by him. The first one just stood out there and posed for him. Just shows that hound dogs are smarter than many humans.

  • troubling to see so many anti-dog hunting posts. I love that sweet song....

  • I like the prerut, where you can control where the deer go. I steal hunt, i hadnt been dog hunting for 5 years, we sold all the dogs.

  • DAMN, looks like ya skinned a little hair off the top of its back. Tough luck there. Felony or not, those dogs would have to die. No shit !

  • alright guys where's your orange hats?

  • @ChopperCrank you dont have to wear them in the stands

  • @MrWainwright0106 wrong check your NC regs.

  • @ChopperCrank in NC you dont have to wear orange after your "in" your stand, just when your going in..

  • @ChopperCrank you dont have to wear orange hats just something orange

  • @ChopperCrank u wear orange hats on way in adn way out when ur sitting down an still it is legal to remove them

  • @ChopperCrank lol im from roxboro and blaze orange is most defienetely the law for gun season lol

  • omfg..... hmm maby u need 2 bring an machine gun next time?

  • love me some dog running the sound of the dogs is music to my ears. I killed my biggest buck running dogs

  • That was one of the BEST videos I've seen in a While. This is exactly why I LOVE running dogs....too bad you missed, but those are the breaks...happens more often than not. Nothing more exciting than hearing those dogs sailing through the woods knowing there's something in front of them...and to run a Monster like That out in front of you?!?! WOW is all I can say...awesome video.

  • nc deerhunter1 - shooting dogs is a felony offense my man. you do that in vance or warren county and you might get lynched.

  • running deer with dogs is wrong.....I'm a still hunter for life. I will shoot every dog i see running deer.....so be warned...

  • what a doe hunt that turned out to be, haha, i love dog huntin, you can come to halifax county and we'll show you some some dogs that will run some big bucks

  • The 1 in the back and in the front both were big bucks.

    I love NC huntin.

  • I love running dogs. All about the adreneline!

  • the best true-life video I have seen. Sorry about the miss, but it happens somtimes.

  • Oh well, you got shook!

It happens to the best of people.

Cool footage and a fun vid to watch just the same. Very nice deer. *****

  • "Thats what runnin dogs is all about son!" So what your sayin is runnin dogs is about missin numerous bucks?

  • Hey treydaddy good to know thats what runnin dogs is all about. What i saw was some guys that didnt put in any work amnaging deer. Some guys that were on a doe hunt that got lucky and had some bucks run across(because of the dogs). And a guy miss a very makeable shot twice

  • darkbetta79 he didnot get a record of the deer dead because he missed. didnt you see the video?

  • Very nice buck, to bad you missed. That's a terrible feeling, I know because i've been there..Good luck on the new hunting season!

  • Thats what runnin dogs is all bout son! I dont wanna hear another still hunter say anything bad bout dogs

  • what?? you didnt get a record of the buck.... this is pointless... we should've at least see the buck when it was dead.
