Say if I want to use non NES graphics, what exactly do I need to import? Do I only need to import the graphics pack from a quest that I like? Or is there more to it?

That should be enough. If I understand it correctly, the graphics pack contains the tileset, combos, and pallete. That should be all you need.

How do you change your character sprite like you did in bikdip's adventure and bikdip's adventeure 2.

Just replace the Link graphics on the tilesheet. It's that simple.

yeah, you do that in the actual player, not the editor.

I have 2 things to fix in pt. 16

1) set flag 16 on the pond to dried up land so it will dry up.

2) the staircase in the room with the bats should flip which would just require making a new tile and/or combo and pressing R.

You can actually dry up the water. To do so, set flaf 16 on the staircase and set a secret combo for stairs, then set flag 17 on the water and set a secret combo for dried up land. That worked for me.

Unless you're talking about the tutorial quest that I'm building. If you mean that, then I don't plan on uploading it anywhere, because it's just meant as a demonstration.

The point is that you're supposed to make it yourself though. And it's not going to be a whole quest on its own, just the one level that's made now and a couple smaller ones.

Yeah, overhead combos are a simpler version of layers. I'll mention them eventually, probably in level 2 or something.
