Jesus made it clear that he was fulfilling prophesy, and he was. Psalm 22 (1000BC) and Isaiah 53 (500BC) describe in detail the crucifixion. Micah 5(600BC) tells of Jesus's divinity and his birth in Bethlehem. Isaiah 7 tells of the virgin birth. Isaiah 11 tells that Jesus father would be Jesse.

God realised that people would not understand (like Abdur Raheem) so he gave these prophesies over 500 years before Jesus appeared on earth. Over 300 people have borne the wounds of Christ since 1224AD.
