Yeah I get what your saying. I enjoy moshing and dancing/2step, but I do it for fun not to hurt a bunch of people. Edge moshing is stupid. I can see if someone gets pushed into the crowd that's one thing but purposely doing it is a dick move. But moshing or not, we all still have the same thing in common, the love for the music whether your on the dance floor or sitting on the side lines. I just think music like this makes you really move, the adrenaline at hardcore shows really gets me pumped.

i don't listen to much hardcore, that's probably why. i listen to a lot of brutal shit that's heavier than hardcore, devourment, brodequin, wormed, vomit remnants, disgorge, etc but it's an entirely different scene. some death metal bands use hardcore breakdowns but it's not about being tough all around, though some bands take the being "brutal" thing too seriously. people go for the music, not to throw fists.
