I think it has more to do with the fact that they're trying to knee drag on tires that weren't made for it. The GP Moto tires are made to handle 1.3 g of force. Tires available to the general public are made to handle 1 g of force. If you notice each rider tries to crack the throttle at a lean of greater than 45 degrees. This results in loss of traction in the back tire.

Every person that falls on these videos fallfor the same reason. they take the curve low but when the curve start to straighten out they still stay low, so naturally they fall. which leads to mad OWNAGE!

three suggestions: 1. People should be taught how to fall, and practice it yearly, starting in kindergarten...many injuries would be prevented. 2. If you can't afford proper gear, don't ride. 3. If you fall, tuck your arms and legs in/together...letting them flail around or trying to catch yourself only leads to unnecessary injury. You want as much of your body to hit the ground at once as possible, distributing the forces. I hear about 'counter steering", but have never seen it.

@Kennethstef can't tell. vid cut to rider too late to guess. there are other vids that rnickymouse has, that show riders, simply giving too much fuel on the exit, others, breaking incorrectly and having too much push into the turn instead of pull, any many, by my best guess without talking to the riders, having too hard a compound tire. perhaps, some simply did not have the tires warmed up enough. i run mich-pures, which are tops, but take a full lap to warm up fully.

For whatever reason, probably his grip was too tight, he pushed the outside grip hard and the front wheel turned to the inside which brought him down in a hurry. Read up on countersteering to learn, but just pay attention to what you do when you ride. As many others have said, push on the left bar: the bike leans and turns that direction safely. In a turn, the worst thing you can do is push on the outside bar hard.

I'm glad to see that he is ok. His mistake was poor body position. These canyons are a bit dirty BUT the cause of his crash was poor body position. From what I have noticed from just about everyone who has crashed in this turn is that they either have poor body position or they chop the throttle (or maybe both).

riders low side. We had a joker putting out sand in turns were we ride after a couple
