Perhaps a "new theology" shouldn't replace the old. Perhaps it's time people come to terms with the fact that there isn't sufficient evidence supporting the assertion that a god exists.
this is possible. the other is that if there is a god he-she should take some initiative in the matter (to make themselves known). and still another is to understand (read: to faith) that there is either ultimate purpose behind this enterprise, or there is absolutely nothing but chaos and thus might make right -- which places us back in the jungle. no alternative is totally satisfactory.
