Easy- just access the config bar by press alt+command f4, then click import. Choose the file type, and you're set.
You may experience crashes while doing this, just try again, the problem involves the GUI programming ,just keep trying and you'll find a loop in the system.
there is a file in cs3 encore root folder that you need to copy/paste ito the premiere pro root folder, this will allow you to import mpeg files. i think the file is called "ad2ac3dec.dll"
What do you mean it doesn't have the green screen key? It is not called green screen key. It's called chroma key, you sample the color and tweak it. If you want to do real green screen use After Effects, best Keyer in that called Keylight.
"what cs3 looks like"...um, it looks like version 2.0, and 1.5, and 1.0, and pre-pro 6.5, and 6.0....lol, hasn't changed much other than adding muticam editing support and HDV support, but they havent changed the layout/workspace or tools in over 8 years. i use it everyday for my job.
Actually, if you remember, there was quite a major change between v6,5 and the first Premiere Pro.
Originally they used A-B tracks with an effect track between them (to simulate editing from two tape decks I suppose). Starting with Pro they got rid of the A-B thing and went with layered tracks. That really had me baffled there for awhile!
CS3 can also work with native P2 media in its MXF format. CS3 works faster and has an auto search in the project panel for fast clip finds. The new presets in Adobe Encoder also allows you to export into native Youtube, iPod, PSP and Blu-Ray formats.

(I use it every day too. It's now also a cross platform software - I only work from a portable drive now as a freelancer and have all my stuff from a Mac to PC without any effort.)
I can't work portable or just from an external drive...Our smallest project is about 25 tapes (13gb a tape), and we have 5-6 projects being worked on at a time, so I would need like 5-6 terabytes with me at all times. plus, there aren't any 8-core laptops out there yet with 16gb ram, unfortnately, so have to stay teathered to the desktop for all our video productions.
What hardware are you using? Matrox, Black Magic, Bluefish, AJA? Sounds like you do quite a lot of work, big projects. Are you running in HDV or DV? I'm interested in your workflow.

Doesnt CS3 exclude the possibility to use Green Screen and Blue screen? Wasnt that removed? would like to know for sure, before I get it.
baronblod2003 4 years ago
It still allows you to use the green screen and blue screen chroma keys! I wonder where you heard that it was removed... They wouldn't ever do that!

ahaahh... I was thinking of Adobe Premiere 3.0... :P Sorry about that ^^

how come my adobe premiere cs3 pro has blue screen, but not green screen :(
and are they the same thing, except needless to say one requires a blue screen, while the other requires green?
and if so - how do i use them :

How can I import MPEG files to Adobe Premiere CS3?. Ive had problems with that. Here it says it is not compatible. Please help me.
leotaku2006 4 years ago
CS3 should import MPEG files no problem. It will need to render it, but it will still import.
Check my site for Premiere Pro CS3 tutorials.

the point is...CS3 is no different than 2.0 except better frame-blending....wooo, big whoop. i used after effects anyway, so no gain for me.
