I really think, like Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy was never really given a chance. I think its rather unfortunate that the Production Team wanted to gradually show the 7th Doctor's darker side. It takes a full series to see glimpses of him become the dark Doctor, then it takes a further series to see it in full. Such a shame. Still at least, like 6, he is given a new, brilliant lease of life in the Big Finish Audios!
@Trayusstudent1 Yeah, I agree with you he wasn't given a fair chance. But I suppose once people have stopped watching a show, it's not long until it gets cancelled. It's just a shame DW was cancelled just as it was getting good again. Looking back though, with hindsight, the cancellation was a good thing, because we'd have never got to see Christopher Eccleston, David Tennant or Matt Smith, and some of the best DW stories ever written. Every cloud has a silver lining I suppose!
@BadNews88 I blame Coronation street and John Nathan Turner, both of them are the true enemies of the Whoniverse! But I still won't forget Michael Grade, that no good affair having, Doctor Who caneller! I'll curse these things the rest of my life!

@DarthJedi2005remixes True. Deep down, I think David Tennant would always have been a Doctor at one point even if the show hadn't been cancelled XD
I think the cancellation was its saving grace though. Its never been more popular!

I'm sure that "as the final credits ran, so did many fans tears"....is *quite* true.
I, for one, observed one minutes silence after the ending of "Survival"..
Definitely *not* expecting that, 16 years later................
So THANX fer all these, m8!
