This guy is not just a bass player... he is a master drummer. He is known in the gospel scene on the drums with walter hawkins etc way back in the day. He is on every album.... Audre Guche was the greatest bass player at that time however he was with mississippi mass choir.

Along with Andrew Gouche,this is the only other cat that I ever tried to emulate on bass!!!! People still don't have a clue as to how great a player this guy really is.Of course with me,the pocket always gets my attention but the ability to be creative within the pocket and still drive the song is a gift that few posess..Joel has it on every level!!!
